I am new seeing the new site when I log into my account and have just entered some codes for the 1000 for 3 spends of a minimum of £50 each time. In order to bank the codes I entered 10 of 1 item which was on a BOGOF would come to £80 which reaches the minimum, however the total cost showed the BOGOF applied to £40 and when I viewed the checkout page for the 200 points it said I didn't qualify

I tried seach on here to find if anyone else had posted anything about this but couldn't find anything so be warned. I expect most people have probably already sussed this but some may miss it. Gutted. :(

If you order an item that is a BOGOF, you have order two, to get the second one free. Remember, it is a virtual store, if you were in a physical store - you wouldn't expect the guy/girl at the till to get up and get the other one, they assume if you have one it is only one, you want - same with home shopping - order one BOGOF you get one!

They have been taking my £8 off £40 Sainsburys tokens for the last 7 weeks, so don't see why not! :j

I think it depends on how near to that store the other store is i.e. how close they are to the competition.

  • Hi.
I posted a while ago about opening a nw account every week to qualify for the various £10 off voucher that are floating about on the web. There are several that are valid until the end of the year!
Anyway, I was told that the limit may be 5 accounts, but I have successfully opened a new account every week (using yahoo email) and used the £10 off codes for new customers, for the last 10 weeks or so.

Is this a massive loophole in the system or do they not really care about the voucher codes being used more than once? The obvious drawback is that you need to start from scratch every week and you don't have favourites in your account, but to get the £10 off it's definately worth it!

I keep waiting on the Tesco police to get me, but to be honest I have scoured the terms and conditions and cannot find anything contradicting this. Nowhere can I see it explicitly saying you cannot have multiple accounts.
I'm not sure how this will work re. clubcard points, I just tick the box every week to say I do not have a clubcard but I'd rather have the voucher off anyway.
The delivery driver must have a flag when its a 'new' customer because I always get the same guy and he always says 'I'm not sure why you're showing as a new customer'. So, I'll see how long I can keep using the new customer coupon codes.

Under the old system I once didnt get my £10 off £50, when I phoned HO they said cause my BOGOFs came below £50 at end, so I phoned local store and they gave me a £10 refund, guess the new system is set up to avoid the glitch

Sorry for confusion. :o I do realise that in order to qulify for a BOGOF I need to add 2 items. I added 10 items that were a BOGOF that added up to more than the minimum spend before the BOGOF but came to less once the discount is applied. What I was trying to say was that on the old version of the website if you buy £50 worth of stuff that happen to be BOGOFs the voucher codes will work for the minimum £50 spend even though you only pay £25 BUT on the new version the BOGOF is subtotalled before the voucher codes apply. :(

SNAP, despite being told this before ...

I was concerned to learn that you had been unable to redeem your Farmfoods conditional spend coupons which visiting our XXX Extra store. I can understand why you are so disappointed and would like to offer my sincere apologies.

As explained by YYY, all our stores should accept our competitors coupons, as long as our customer has met the qualifying spend, as displayed on the coupon. Although I appreciate that you have been given several different reasons explaining that stores should decline such coupons, I can assure you that this is certainly not the case.

To ensure that the points raised in your email were dealt with appropriately, I brought the details of your complaint to the attention of MR BEAN, our Store Manager at XXX.

Bean has asked me to pass on his apologies for the unacceptable standard of customer care you had received. He has promised to address this regrettable incident with his Management Team, and with his cashiers, carrying out further training where necessary to ensure you do not experience any further problems of nature.

While I appreciate that there is little I can say to alleviate the disappointment and inconvenience that has already been caused, by way of an apology, I have arranged for a £10.00 Tesco Moneycard to be sent to you. I hope you will accept this gesture with my compliments and best wishes.

Once again, I am very sorry. I do hope that we may continue to look forward to your valued custom and that you will give us an opportunity to restore your confidence in our operations.

So, e-mailed them again for "clarification"
