with the last Tesco voucher mailing we got a leaflet called "fantastic extra 15th birthday coupons". One of them is 1 free entry with 1 full paying adult to various theme parks.
Does paying with tesco tokens count as full paying?

Read the conditions on the back - it says that you can't pay with vouchers or use any other offers.

Just back from Tesco and tried to use a voucher printed from the net.

It was for a free pack of Dairylea spread - and was from the safecoupons people so had my name and barcode etc on it....

When I tried to use it the Girl at the checkout said that Tesco no longer accept vouchers printed from the internet, and a manager also confirmed this saying they received memos from head office a few weeks back.

I know vouchers are not gauranteed, but it was still a bit embarrasing and annoying, there were no signs anywhere in store stating they no longer accept vouchers and I had spent nearly £70 on shopping so it was pretty mean of them to refuse a £1 coupon.

Has anyone else had problems or can confirm this new policy from Tescos?

Never had a problem with these, so long as the product is bought.

Same for me Doc. I handed in an internet coupon at Tesco in Leicester last weekend against an item I had purchased and it was accepted.

OP - would you care to amplify on whether or not you purchased the item you were presenting a coupon for?

I used the Dairylea one yesterday for a tub of Dairylea Light and it worked. Had to scan it twice but no problems.

Write to the above & complain. Well that's what most of us do. Some of us wrote directly to Sir Terry but at the mo I cannot find his email address.

If you wanna complain write to Terry 1st. you will get faster respond than via their customer service!!!

Don't forget Tesco also accept other supermarket conditioner spend coupons. Eg: Farmfoods, Morrison, Sainsbury, Waitrose ( £5 off spend over £30/£50).

Keep you receipt as proof. Sometime they will ask for it & sometime they don't anyway, tell them where your Tesco is, give them as many info as you can on your receipt & later on they will send you a £5.00 voucher card by way of saying " THEY ARE SORRY! - so they should as it is very intimidating @ their store.

Don't feel intimidated by their staff - if you use the coupons to buy the actual products they have no ground not accept the coupons. Lastly, remember the lady who serves you, don't go to her again:D

I was told the Domestos 35p coupon could not be used when I called in yesterday as I had printed it from the internet. I have sent an email to customer services but have not had a reply yet.

contact safe coupons via their website( on the coupon) , they are very helpful as shops should be accepting these against the product.

Last few times I have been in Tescos the signs have been down from the till point advising that coupons could only be used if you bought the product.
I have therefore handed over what coupons I have and they have been taken even if I hadnt bought the product.

Have tesco changed the policy back again?
