T-mobile change in T&C
Options
Just received a text telling me to visit the following site due to a change in terms & conditions:
hxxp://xxx.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/08-09-tcupdate/
(replace the x's as it won't let me add a link!)
Having a look they are increasing the roaming charges in Europe for making calls but decreasing the text prices. Is there any way I can use this to get out of my contract as I have used the roaming a lot in the past 6 months.
Responses appreciated,
Harj

sadly no, as t&c can be changed provided they have given enough notice.does my bum look big in this sig?0

Just been reading the t&c, it says that if a change in t&c is of material detriment to you, then a cancellation charge won't apply if you contact them.
Worth a try perhaps?!0 -
keep us posted on whether you are successful or not in terminating your contract without penalty0

By the sounds of it, probably not.0

Does anyone have a link to the T&C's this purports to replace. If there are detrimental changes, need to check.0

7.2.3.2. You are a Consumer and the change that WeAgreement before the change takes effect;
gave You Written Notice of in point 2.11.2 or
7.1.4 above is of material detriment to You and
You give Us notice to immediately cancel this
That term is interesting. Would like to see what the courts would make of it.0 -

Just stir this up but reading the new t-mobile terms - the roaming charge has changed for making a call or will change on 29th June 2009 from 38p to 44p.
Any ground to cancel contract?
No use to me to cancel as I am on a cheap deal - would cost me to cancel but still for other people.....0 -
Is the present agreement on the net?0
