Hand luggage and clear platic bag queries

Shouldn't matter about the packaging as long as they're 100ml or less. I've been through airport security more times than I'd care to remember in the last year and never had any problems bringing through foundations, travel shampoos etc in their original packaging.
On one occasion I was flying with just hand luggage and forgot a clear bag. I asked at the information desk if they had any, and the lovely gentleman behind the desk gave me one (Thumbs up for Brum
). It might be worth asking at information to save you £1 for the machines later on *insert witty comment here*0 -
Can anyone tell me how fussy they are at Manchester Airport about the size & type of of plastic bag?
Are they currently giving them away or forcing you to buy?
Thank you0
