:hello: Gooooood Morning

Busy day ahead so, up and organising myself early (want to be all finished in time to listen to the budget speech; be interesting to hear his idea on increasing council tax for households that throw away too much rubbish!? No doubt they'll be discussing that and all things related in the discussion forums )
B: Porridge
L: Peanut butter, sultana sandwiches on hm 3-seed bread with fruit.
Pasta meal, salad. Banana custard for dessert
Finally got my GetGive bags ready so I'll be dropping those off later today :j
Interesting thread over in the in my home forum: Hose pipe ban, how to recycle bath water - anyone got any ideas they can add?
Will hopefully have time to log in later and catch up.
Hoping everyone is ok today ((hugs for those who need/want them))
Enjoy your budget day Wednesday (!?)

Hello everyone
I'm having another bout of insomnia, so here I am in the land of MoneySaving to while away some time.
The painting of the house is going fine :j and I am really pleased with what has been done so far. There is just my bedroom and the bathroom ceiling to do. I am looking forward to adding curtains but have an essay due on Monday so have to curb that nesting urge for a little while longer. I'm going to have a bash at making them so will shop for fabric next weekend.
My car has an annoying rattle, unfortunately it's related to an MoT item. I got my MoT date mixed up - it's next week, so there is time to get this problem fixed. The spend on my car is adding up of course. I can't complain really as it hasn't cost much more than the expected daily running costs since I got it four years ago, but it looks like I'll be spending several hundred on it which I haven't exactly budgeted for. (I am still a budget virgin...there, that's was my confession for the year done:D!) I'd get rid of the motor but I live close to the middle of nowhere so am quite dependant on it.
MATH - I saw your post yesterday. Please remember to count your blessings every now and again. I know it's not much use to say that something will turn up for Mrs Math - however she has her health and ability to work and she is doing everything in her power to find a suitable job. Things are therefore in her favour, though the waiting game is terribly painful. It's a shame about that Notts job - but there was something in the news lately about them laying off staff due to distribution centre reorganisation or something - so maybe in the longer term it was a blessing in disguise as these things rarely happen in isolation. You and your Math family are a team and you will resolve this one way or another. I'm terribly sorry to hear about your friends. It's hard, life is inexplicably cruel and non-sensical sometimes. I hope you manage to make your peace with what has happened.
Big hugs to everyone else who needs them.
All the best

'Morning Snowyowl, 'morning everyone
Haven't been on MSE since yesterday morning, so I haven't read any threads since them. Just thought I'd call in here and say hello to everyone.
Snowyowl, you do sound busy. It's nice to have a place all re-decorated - good luck with the curtain making. I must admit I haven't made curtains for a long time, but when I did there was a great deal of satisfaction in getting just what you want by doing it yourself.
(((MATH))) hugs ... I don't know what has happened but I will do when I go through the threads.
I have hospital tests this afternoon, so I will be late home so I have to be a bit more organised with meals today. I may just take out a 'meal I made earlier' from the freezer and reheat tonight.
Breakfast: oats, fruit and yoghurt
Lunch: popping home, so it will probably be scrambled eggs on toast
Dinner: something to reheat from the freezer (HM)
Have a lovely OS day!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Please merge Squeaky ... I've responded to Snowyowls post ...

apple - good luck with your tests this afternoon (I know we all want positive results from academic tests, not so sure we all want hospital tests to show "positive" though
) Hope you get the results you wish for! ((hugs))
Snowy - for the car, you need to set up a Freedom Account (an account which you feed to cover aspects of depreciation/repairs on items such as cars, freezers .. anything which by their nature calls for periodic maintenance/repair expenses). Hope it isn't too great a dent in your budget.
Re: curtain making, don't forget to check out fabric sites on the net (no pun intended!) You can often find some great deals even with postage taken into consideration. For the joy factor alone, visit Croft Mills and order a catelogue to read
(you'll need to ring/write to order one, their details are on their website: http://www.croftmill.co.uk/ )

Morning Wonderful People!
Not a bad night here and used the Stairlift this morning without waking DD:j
WM is on and items will be hung outside as its a glorious day here...well so far anyway:D DW needs to be unloaded and the toilet has been cleaned. Hopefully SIL will be here today to do some stuff around the house and our ironing, but will know for sure by 8.30. House is generally done though and basically all spick and span.
DD has a school trip tomorrow at the War Musuem in London. Last year the day they were due to go the bomb went off and luckily they had missed their train, then the next one was cancelled. So am quite nervous about it.
OH is pottering around in the back garden today and is popping to the local Tescos as we have some vouchers that need using and a few bits needed for the fridge.
DD's pack lunch is done. Cheese/salad sarnie, HM cake, apple, pear, banana, yogurt, popcorn and bottle of tap water.
Breakie-Bacon, mushrooms and beans
Lunch:Jacket Spud
Dinner-Chilli Con Carne with rice.
Will catch up later. Hugs to all. Hope you feel a little better today MATH.

Left the heating on very low last night as it was freezing but what a sunny day this morning, super washing day so will bung a couple of loads in the WM.
Breakfast: Porridge & fresh orange
Lunch: Hm Veg Soup & warm rolls with loads of butter
