hi elle,
i'm sure words cant explain how you feel about having rhys home :-) ... i'm so pleased for you
can i have the list pm'd if that's okay???
XXXX0 -
AF, it doesn't feel real yet.. TBH, doesn't feel all that real that he's mine yet!
Can't wait until he's big enough for a grobag - he's currently lying under his playgym and I put a blanket over him to keep him warm but he just instantly kicks it off  So cute though, we have to put him over to one side so he can reach the lower toys - arms not long enough yet to reach the middle!
Have sent you the list0 -
Hi all.. Baby Rhys is home!
And currently asleep in his travel cot..
I was all set for leaving the hospital at half nine this morning but we had to wait for some medication to come over from the pharmacy. Waiting and waiting until 4pm, then they finally told us that not only was it not coming over today, that it hadn't even ordered it - and, although we already knew this bit, it only needed reordering because someone put it back in the cupboard when it has to be kept in the fridge!
Anyway, we finally left at just after 4pm and time had flown since. I've done a load of washing as I realised we only have one clean sleepsuit for tonightand unpacked some of the bags. Really can't wait to have our bedrooms done as well so we have proper places to store things.
Just got to nip back to the hospital now.. they forgot to give us the pH strips for testing that the feeding tube is in Rhys' tummy.. very dodgy to put anything down it without testing first or we could end up with milk in his lungs! _pale_
Back soonxx
That's great news!xx
I'm going to disappear again now, speak soon!

That's brilliant news Elle (that Rhys is home not that his arms are too little to reach the middle olaygym toys!) Like Sami I've met all my mummy friends going to baby groups after Celia was born.
Good luck with the dog walk Becles, have you considered ringing a bell and yelling unclean as you walk along ;-)
Keely, Celia likes to bash a pan lid with a metal spoon, it goes ting. She also really likes her ball as she can chase it (or sit and shout at it as it rolls away, then shout until someone rolls it back!). Empty/half full bottles are also very popular!
What about a shape sorter or one of those things with rings on that you're sposed to put in size order? Celia's been bought both of those at the moment she just eats them or bashes them on the floor but she'll work it out eventually!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

My sister brought him a set of cups which go inside each other (i got him to first crawl with these, as i stacked them out of reach and he was so desperate to knock the tower down he actually crawled lol). So both of these are good, but he gets bored quick now. His nan brought him a ball, he likes it for a short time then wants to play with the dvd player or crawl off with the remote lol! He had an empty bottle yesterday, which actually kept him more interested then any of his toys! It's mad!
Oh yes he loves banging things, making a noise. He just seems to get bored so quickly at the moment, i can see his brain ticking-working out where he'd like to go to next and grab! Usually wires or something he can't have though!
He's still playing with his bucket and spade from holidayNo sand, but he doesn't seem to care!

ps-fritha does celia drink some water/juice from a sippy cup? I've been gradually getting elliot off the bottle and onto cups, but it's been a slow process. He'll nowe drink from a free flow cup, but chucks the drink everywhere when he's had enough or gets bored! He still has a bottle late at night thoughMommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Congratulations elle. I am so happy for all three of you.

Yay Elle, wonderful news! I think it was only really last weekend that it 'clicked' that Toby is mine and I get to keep him. Visiting family was what did it - he got a bit fussy (well, he was being passed around the room at 1am!) and he went quiet and cuddly as soon as he was given back to me. Make sure and share lots of photos of your little chap back at home!
AF - How are you doing? ((Hugs))
After discussing with Mum and OH, decided to go for three months without medication, and review things then. Things aren't 'acute' at the moment, and the team are happy for me to just see if I can resolve things without medication. Hopefully I can get to a point where I can get out and about, then I can go to the OCD clinic. I realised last night, that if I went on medication, I'd have to stop co-sleeping, and I really don't want that.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Celia does exactly the same as Elliot! It took her ages to realise she was sposed to suck the spout (she still prefers to chew the bottom), then a while to work out what to do with the water once she'd got it out (she still tries to chew it sometimes!). She doesn't have much ffrom it but she's improving which is better than nothing! I think it can take them until about a year before they get the hang of it so they've got a while yet!
Oooh, we don't have stacking cups, I might have to look for some of those! Celia also likes to play with wires, she'll crawl for miles for a wire, or a duck, or to come and see me when I'm peeing! Most used sign in our house is don't touch!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Morning all.
How was the first night Elle?
And can someone send me this list too please?!
We're having a far moer relaxed morning than normal - DH has finally agreed to get the bus to work instead of have us spend an hour each morning and over an hour in the evening dropping him off and fetching him. Still had to give him a lift to the bus stop, but it's a start (when I start work he will have to walk, but I don't mind giving him a lift for the moment - that round trip only takes 10 mins!)
Izzy is off to my Mum's this morning, for her weekly getting-used-to-being-at-granny's trip. Will try and leave her a bit longer today. The in-laws came over last night and did a bit more on the kitchen, so I'll be spending the morning clearing up tools and things. And trying to see how much washing I can get done - we're running out of clothes. Oops!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Morning!Well, we all survived.. me especially so cos I slept all night and OH did the night feeds
I woke up this morning with rock-hard boobs (that's what not expressing at 4am does for ya!
) so woke OH up again to do the 8am feed so I didn't drown Rhys or soak my top completely! Have promised I'll do the night feeds tonight instead..
I've sent you the list I have too
We're also running out of clothes.. I need to sort through our wardrobes here and wash what we want and vacbag the rest so we can start work on the bedroom next week. When I sorted out my clothes whilst I was pregnant, I saved all my size ten stuff in a separate bag, thinking it would be the first one I opened after having Rhys. Now it appears half of it is still too small for me!Am not complaining much, as I wanted to be a bigger size, I'm just surprised I'm now a 10-12 not a 8-10 and means I'll have to go shopping for new stuff... which is nice, but not very MSE!
