Feelie, are you around? (You okay? :)) I was wondering where you hired your hospital grade pump from? Was it the Medela Symphony you got? I've got the Medela Swing but it looks like I'm going to be expressing longterm so I think it would be best to hire the "heavy duty" version! Just wanting to be cheeky really and pinch your research if you looked into the rental costs from various places ;) Thanks heaps! Anyone else feel free to chip in to ;)

In the 5 years I've been involved in breastfeeding, I've never seen anybody feed anybody elses baby... It's just going to be a bunch of women sitting in the sun having a picnic... And feeding their babies if they need feeding... You should go along, it's a good opportunity to meet women with babies the same age, find out what's happening in your local area...
and try to work out who there is off MSE :p I'm hoping to be organised enough to go - Fritha glad you said your taking a FFing friend I was thinking of asking mine but I wasn't sure how it would go down :undecided
Ps. I would BFeed a friends baby if they were happy for me to and vise versa  only certain friends tho

Get you - running out of condoms from the FPC, and having to buy more! Me, jealous - NO!:D If they gave us a little tiny paper bag - we'd still probably still have them left once their use by date had gone!!
I still have ALL of the ones they gave me 2yrs ago :o:p

Elle's Link didn't work for me but assuming its one of those things that is a cross between a fishing net and a dummy they have them in asda for about £4, I think they're made by Munchkin

  • Are Lansinoh breast pads any good? I picked up 2 boxes of 36 for 67p each as my local chemist is turning into a Boots and everything must go! My friend is due next month so I thought they could go in her hamper.

And also 6 packs of Bickiepegs :p.

And quite a few jars of baby food - only for emergencies, you understand! ;).

I liked them, enormous, slim and absorbant, everything I look for in a breast pad :-) (I went through a LOT of breast pads so I can give you a run down of the major players and they're usfulness from my pov lol)

Lansinoh breast pads are great! they are usually really expensive! i got all the free breast pads and milk bags from my chemists breastfeeding awareness week as no one took any and when they found out i BF they gave me the lot :D

put the apples/carrots etc in the fridge as the cold helps their gums:D
i was going to wait with erin but she couldnt wait any longer and does seem a lot happier and is sleeping better already!

have just grabbed a bargain on ebay! 6 huge wooden blinds to fit my big living room windows for £40.oo! was quoted £300 for 1! also sold my car coolbox for double what i paid so my blinds will be free:D
What's for you won't go past you
