Weezl, you'd probably like Dunstan baby language (assuming you haven't already heard of it obviously), it's really cool :-) I'd link to it on youtube but I can't find the one I saw and Herself is falling asleep so I can't find a new one!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0

We are using condoms, but I keep missing the family planning clinic and they seem to have a policy of giving out little tiny paper bags with barely any in? So that has meant we have had to buy them a few times now.......not very mse;)

Get you - running out of condoms from the FPC, and having to buy more! Me, jealous - NO!:D If they gave us a little tiny paper bag - we'd still probably still have them left once their use by date had gone!!
We're still not sure what to do! I'm not allowed anything hormonal anymore (age/migraines/family medical history!) - and the last time I had a non-hormone (can't remember what its called!) coil fitted I thought I was going to bleed to death!
Condoms - I really hate them! Permanent methods are just too permanent! Mind you, my nan told me that i'll be coming up to menopause now so I needn't worry! (I'm 37 !!!!!!!)feelinggood wrote: »Is it okay to wear white trousers to a wedding? I'm wearing a deep purple top, so not sure what colour trousers to go to. Its in Early September.
I think that'll look lovely! I went to one last year in white trousers and a multi bright floaty top.
Sort of MSE :money:- I got the most gorgeous deep purple plain court shoes from Dorothy Perkins last week for £10 in the sale! (I'm having a purple moment!).
Finally - i'm getting quite worried about my hair loss! I've googled post-natal hair loss and it seems to be quite normal and most noticable between 3 and 6 months after the birth.
My hair is usually quite thick, jaw length bob, but i've got proper thin patches of short new hairs at both temples!:beer:0 -
No, I wasn't trying to be argumentative either, it's just I feel there are a lot of employment myths out there, including that parents have the right to go part-time / work flexibly. We don't. We have the right to REQUEST it. And while the employer has to make a good case for turning your request down, it has to be a well thought through request in the first place - how the work can be covered, dealing with the obvious objections the company may raise etc.
I think that this has been cleared up now but for what it is worth the bit in bold above is exactly correct. I have dealt with 2 requests for flexible working in the last 12 months or so. One I granted, and one I refused. Both were perfectly legal and for legitimate business reasons.Erin has realised what food is and everytime we eat or someone has a snack she starts to scream lol! OH had her chewing on an apple earlier and everytime he moved it she shreaked!
I gave Benjamin a huge chunk of apple to suck on earlier and his face lit up!! I think he prefers it to the whole raw carrot we have been giving him!!
Well done Izzy and Baby MacSmiler and Seth! Benjamin is being a good sleeping boy too sleeping from 7.15pm to 5.30am last night and I put him down awake at 7.30pm tonight and he stopped chattering at about 7.45pmClever boy!!!
We have been to a christening today and I did feed in church (it keeps Benjamin quiet!!) although I overdid it and gave him both sides and the greedy lump took so much he ended up chucking some back over mummys nice floaty top :rolleyes:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

.
Why are Bickipegs evil?! :rotfl:

Would these be any good to you Em? (is it the risk of Seth choking that you're thinking of) My friend bought me some for Rhys - bought me two huge gift bags of things she'd found invaluable with her little one0 -

A BIG chunk!! About a sixth of apple with the core cut out (skin still on). I have been giving him a whole peeled carrot to suck on whilst we eat for a while now. He just sucks at them for a while then chucks them on the floor!!! He is not actually eating.
I did put it in his hand and he just sat and sucked it for a while - we are not weaning yet...one of the triggers for Baby Led Weaning is that they can pick something up and put it into their mouth themselves. Benjamin does pick things up (although not everything) and he does put things in his mouth so we are nearly there on that front. I am waiting until he can sit up unaided before we start weaning....
...having said that he does 'sit' unaided, but my boy has a fascination with his feet so he bends right forward and tries to suck his toes!! I am not sure I will ever get him to sit up straight!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
