Afternoon OS lovelies!
Hermoine - My thoughts about your boss were the same as everyone elses - note things down in front of her when she says something and then you can refer back to it if she moves the goalposts..
Pen-Pin - Enjoy your time away and make sure you really relax
Teresita - hope your new colleague fits into your team
Halight - Just out of interest hon - is the crawling twin the eldest one by any chance?
sybil - I know you said you would stop talking about LB on here but I still think that is a shame...You have been posting about him for months and I am not sure why you are stopping now.. Did I miss something? Did someone say something to make you want to stop? Hope you are Ok hon *big hugs*
Taplady - sorry you aren't feeling so good, hope you improve as the day progresses.
Reverbe - Sorry you haven't won anything from Rimmel yet.. I feel very very lucky though I have to say as an 'advertising' stunt it does work - the mascara I tried from them I am completely addicted to and two of my friends have bought it on my recommendation and love it too. Hope you win something soon hon.
sistercas - well done on the win! What will you spend it on?
Managed an hour in my garden yesterday and got the pepper plants into the greenhouse and potted up the tomato plants. My lilies are all growing well and all the bedding plants seem to be doing fine. I still have windowsills full of seedlings, but at least some of them are now out in the garden!
Friends came down and we had an Indian meal last night. It was delicious and we bought our naan bread and poppodums from Asda as they were all on offer for £1. Sharwoods too!
Tonight we are doing something with mince - OH wants Spagbol, I fancy a cottage pie but either way we have celery and carrots to bulk it all out with. I have to sit and go through all the receipts for this month shortly, they have been piling up and I have been ignoring them.
BM is on - half wholemeal flour, half granary just for a change. Sun is shining so washing will be out on the line soon.to all the children taking exams today and extra
for you mums and dads dealing with exam stress!
Warm gentlefor all - Have a great day

Hi Penny
thank you for your reply i shall check the ebay and NSD forum now.
Hope everyone is having a good day :j0 -
Hi all, miserable weather here today although not raining yet. Busy baking and cleaning here, just put some homemade bread in the oven, making a steak and mushroom pie for dinner tonight and going to make some more oat biscuits as i made a batch last night and they disappeared, something to do with my oh and son i think.
Hopefully my little monster will go for his nap in a bit and i can get the floors mopped and some ironing done, also having a look at what herbs i want to start growing in my kitchen.

Afternoon all.
Mr LW has requested cherry and coconut buns for his lunchbox. I've never made those before - have just taken them out of the oven and they look good, just hope they'll taste OK.
Shepherd Spy for lunch, as Mr LW is w*rking from home today - and as soon as we've eaten that, we have to do a quick dash to the local Mr T's. Mr LW was supposed to go and get a few bits of shopping for me yesterday lunchtime, but he forgot. Can't do it when he finishes w*rk, as we have other stuff scheduled for then - including picking up my meds. So a lunchtime dash it will have to be.
Hope everyone's having a good day today; ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one.
Gotta dash, dins is about ready. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Just wanted to say Hi back to everyone ! :hello:(that's if people will let me join in again -do hope so) I started chatting to the people here and then I was sidetracked by other threads but when I read your post Rattlesnake it made me realize that although I am not working anymore I need to keep track more than ever with the OS ways as money is slipping like water through my fingers -not good!!
My DD has done her citizenship exam as well today and she is on her way home for a break away from school.
When I was working I actually kept a notebook of things that were said and on what day etc as it was nice to be able to "just checkup" that I wasn't going mad as people doseem to like undermining your confidence when you are new at a job -I think it puts you more in control and able to think and work better
Thanks for the inspiration to take control again of the housework/cooking etc in an
OS way - Take care everyoneMay you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -
Hi everyone,
hermione, I would confirm everything your boss says to you in and email. If she changes it, send another email and keep a record of all communication with her.
Aussie, I do hope you decide to have another holiday in the UK.
taplady, that sounds worrying, don't forget to mention it on Friday.
Purpleclutterbuck, good to see you posting again.
cranky, glad you had a good birthday and I hope dh is enjoying his 50th!
Diva, As far as I can see nobody has suggested that sybil shouldn't post about her son.She said here that she was busy as her father is coming to stay.
rattlesnake, welcome! :hello: You'll get lots of inspiration on this thread.
Haribo, special hugs for you today. xx
I've had a busy morning baking and sorting things out for ds1's Duke of Ed expedition. I still need to go to the camp shop for a mug, compass and whistle as he seems to have mislaid the ones I got him last year. The annoying thing is that I just know they'll turn up as soon as I buy new ones. Thanks to some help from Penny Penguin, I have his meals for the next three days sorted out.
I hope to spend a little time in the garden potting up the land cress and herbs and then this afternoon it's homeworks, dinner (spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread) then cubs/scouts. Somewhere inbetween I need to pop round and give Dad his birthday present.
Hope you're all having a good day.

Afternoon all,
Sunny and warm with frequent heavy showers here...OH is out when its dry trying to do things in garden....we have been invaded by rabbits who are cheeky enough to sit and wait for you to get quite near them before they run off....would be quite happy for them to eat the grass on the lawn and weeds in flowerbeds, but not happy that they fancy my nicely growing fennel...have draped an old net curtain over that box and know that I have netting somewhere for the other boxes....if I could remember where I put it!
DD2 and grand-daughters 1 & 3 arriving this afternoon...looking forward to that immensely as I haven't seen them since Christmas ( they live in London)..it will be all go for the next few days as the rest of the clan are arriving on Friday evening...will be k****ered when they all leave but it will be a nice visit.
Hermoine....feel so sorry to hear that you are being bullied it is a most unpleasant situation to be in. I think that Mioliere's idea of a notebook which you write in in her presence, confirming as you go.....'have I got that correct....such and such by such a date etc'...she will probably get fed up if she realises that you are not willing to be a victim.
Aussie...gather that your water dams are now nice and full...good to know that Lamb Island hasn't floated away! I am sure its nice to be able to have longer showers when you want. Look forward to meeting again if you make it to this part of the world in 2010.
Good luck to all exam people
Those who have been MIA...please come back you are much missed, naming no names in case I leave anybody out, you know who you are!
Hugs to all who are in need or want, may not be around too often for a few days, congratulations to all who are celebrating
