Morning :hello:
Good luck with your exams Miss Penguin
My mum's coming over today, then I have to see the doc at 3pm so not much time for OSing today :rolleyes:Hopefully this'll be the last time I have to see the doc, I'm getting fed up with it now. There's a few things I'd like to get done, they'll have to be squeezed in as and when. The weather looks better today so I'll put a few handwashed clothes on the line in a mo.
I think Sybil's idea of putting stuff on her blog is great. I might have read her wrong, but I don't think she's going to stop posting here, she's just going to give a quick summary about her non-OS stuff and then ramble away about everything else on her blogI'm trying to keep on topic here too, doesn't always work though

Morning everyone - hope you're all well today?
It's dull and overcast here with us and there was an almighty shower just before we got up this morning. I think my dog-walking window is nearly here!
Well, best laid plans and all that. Got the new PC for my parents yesterday and it took me ages to set the thing up, so didn't get home til 8.45.... Ended up getting a chinese for dinner, otherwise I would have still been cooking at midnight (slight exaggeration there, maybe)
So, no washing on the line today, although DH did cut the grass last night and washed his boilersuit and stuff, so might hang that out. Dinner tonight will be quiche and salad (sound familiar?) Before I get home I need to get some shopping in - bread and milk, but nothing too much.
Hermione - enjoy your day off and hope work get's less stressful for you.
Pen-Pin - Enjoy your time away and make sure you relax
Teresita - hope your new colleague fits into the team
Red Ruby - choc ice cream and dog walking sounds wonderful!
Mioliere - happy pet sitting! The dog sounds like a happy handful!
Tru - hope your appointment goes well and enjoy entertaining your mum.
Speaking of happy handfuls, it's about time I took my pooch for her morning chuck-about with the ball. She's on sheep watch just now, looking at them through the fence! Here's hoping everyone has a good day0 -
Hello everybody,
Terrible weather here. Been raining all night and most of the day. Flooding is some areas. Did some baking for the freezer this morning & gave our good timber table & chairs a good polish. I want to re-upholster them. I'm not having much luck getting the staples out though. DH arrived home around lunch so I've just been lazy with him.
He's been trying to convince me we can afford another holiday in the UK after Xmas. This is the only time he can get holidays. So he was back on his soap box this arv. Blah blah blah.Very, very tempting though. I really shouldn't be a worry wart. We only live once.
Talking of DH, he's much better. He has a specialist appt on the 29th and will run it by him what he had.
DD emailed me today from the ship. SHe's got the flu and is pretty miserable with it. She's hoping she'll be better in 2 days time when they stop at Villa. SHe better be. That's where she's buying my handbag.
Hermoine The notebook idea sounds the best to me. Must be awful though.
Smoky Hope you are coping well. xx
SnowyOwl (The Irish One)How's the new job going?
Well better sort out tea. Having zucchini slice. <hugs> to those not well. ENjoy your day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Thank you all for the advice and the support. I will get a notebook and keep it with things in that she asks me to do and the dates she asks me to do them. I will also keep another with a list of incidents in where she changes her mind and stuff.

Morning all,
Have had a quick S&S around the kitchen & bathroom, DH kept walking in and out when we were working on the stone building y/day, dust and footprints everywhere. Never thinks to take his shoes off.
There are some bricks at the top bit of a wall I am working on so I'm removing them and re-placing with stone. It takes ages to get the right shape and size to fit, but it's a labour of love. The lime mortar mix we're using playes havoc with my hands, I've been using rubber gloves but mislaid one, it's proberbly in the wall somewhere.
OS wise I've made DH an omelette using some hard cheese, sprouting spring onions and soft peppers for lunch, will pop in MW when he wants it. Made fish pie with ys cod & haddock, new pots boiled and have steamed the spinach for dinner.
Lovely and sunny here so might aswell get wm on.
REDRUBY, your garden looks great, should you now be known as GreenRUBY?
TRU, you're right, WS did say she is putting her stories of LB on her Blog and hasn't said she will stop posting on here. Hope you get on ok at the Drs.

OS today - got lots of washing to do, second load in now and am praying for a bit of drying weather as theres a big load of towels to dry.
Tea is something from the freezer - am doing a mini storecupboard challeneg at the moment.

Morning all
Hermione - Could you ask that she confirm dates/times etc in an email (if you have the facility), if she wont, then when she gives you deadlines etc, then email her saying - just to confirm, you want xxxx done by xxxxx. Keep all the emails you send and recieve from her.
Hugs to all in need, not been keeping upto date with you all so no idea who's doing what where.
OS today - well I've swished the kitchen, DW is going, WM is going, I've been on slug patrol and the toilet is marinading in cleaner.
Dinner tonight is jacket spuds with what ever fillings come to hand at the time....I've spent 2 evenings now, cooking up a storm (roast chicken and all the trimmings monday/chicken pie, new pots/veg last night) only to have one or other of the kids be unapprecative about the time and effort....well that can stop right there, I may not work so seemingly have enough time to do all these lovely dinners but I won't make the effort if it's not appreciated. (rant over
Was hoping to go for a lovely walk along the beach this morning but the tide is in and it's quite misty, hopefully the sun will burn through and the tide will drag out the cloud later on.
On a green fingered note - all my strawberry plants are doing well, runner beans are racing up their poles, as are the peas, the mange tout are about 14 inches high now and really need to go out at the weekend, peppers are finally showing their heads and courgettes have suddenly had a spurt.....lettuces are playing dead.....but I'm having none of it - they will grow!!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
