In the almost ten years since DS was born DH has had plenty of nights without children when I take them to visit my parents - DH usually has to work. I, on the other hand have NEVER had a night without at least one child still being around:mad:
It will happen and quicker than you can imagine. Mine have all left school now and we are relegated to Taxi service, oh yes i know my place:rotfl: Unfortunately i am only left with Mr.B for conversation and that would probably explain my obsession with MSE:rolleyes::D So cherish these days/nights.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi there Scottish Mummy,
How are things going ? At least the kids will now be back at school so you can get back to some kind of normality.
Hope all is well

Well helllllloooooooooooo everybody!!!! What can I say but I'm back. Computer finally went completely titsup and I couldn't get on here. I read a few posts from work but use a shared computer so didn't want to log in and post incase I forgot to log out!!! That would have been embarrassing!! I tried begging for a computer through Freegle/Freecycle but no luck.
Through overtime, collecting £2 coins and a quidco payout of £125 and some early chrissie pressie money I have finally managed to get myself an all singing, all dancing, fandabiedoubledozie, shiny, sparkly new computer :j:j:j:j.
So i have lots to catch up on and lots to tell you about but that is all going to have to wait until tomorrow as I have to be up early to take DD to her first swimming lesson.
It's good to be back XXXXXXX SMThe person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Bit more time now so can catch up with you all. Since I last was on here back late July /early August I have had Swine Flu, been on crutches and had a wrist strapped up. Thankfully other than a cold just now I seem quite healthy.
Debtbusting was going quite well up until last week. We were in town a week past Friday and I asked DH if we needed to swap money over into the Direct Debit account but he said no we were fine until Wednesday. At work on Monday he phones me in a panic, there were three DD's due out that day that he had completely forgotten about. Turns out that on the Thursday previous he had come across a lottery ticket which he misread the date as being Dec 9th instead of Dec 09. He had panicked thinking the mortgage was due out the next day then relaxed when he realised it wasn't. Unfortunately he had relaxed too much and forgot about the three other DD's due out before it. So unfortunately that will be 3 x £30 in charges:eek: but at least we have notice of when they go out. The whole reason we don't use the other account for the DD's is they don't give you any notice but take the charges out immediatly. We don't want to close it though as we can still use a cheque book with it which is handy for some things still. Partly my fault I suppose as I could quite easily have looked at the calendar myself.
I have managed to do quite a bit of overtime the last couple of months. Payday this month is the 23rd and that should have about 40 hrs overtime so a good wage for me. Shame the next payday isn't until 31st Jan. Have three pressies still to buy and that is Christmas sorted too.:TThe person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Still have lots of diaries I need to catch up on but in the mean time after my last fairly down post thought I would post what may not at the start look good but by the end is certainly looking a lot better. At the beginning of July DH had had enough with the Franchise he was working with and dropped it. Took about a fortnight but he found another one he thought he would be happy with. Well having just done his accounts for the year the first six months he was basically paying to work. Two months he made a loss and three he was barely scraping the low hundreds. Since starting the new franchise he has been taking home nearly £1k every month so he most definately made the right decision. Only problem is it looks like we will now have been overpaid tax credits this year but our payment to CCCS will be able to increase meaning debt free sooner.:j.The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hello again Diary. Just checked Quidco and have just over £55 of payments in received. :j That will come in handy for the new year. Only leaves me with about £10 still to get I think. Haven't done much online shopping through Quidco this year. Must try and get in to the habit of daily clicks.
DD has come home with two party invites in as many days - one being this Saturday. Must remember to go in past somewhere afterwork tomorrow to get a pressie. Phoned one company to see where stuff for Christmas has got to - was sent Tuesday so should be here tomorrow. Starting to worry about a couple of items I have bought for DS not arriving in time or at all. One is coming from abroad and I have had the 'we have sent' email so hopefully it will get here in time. The other one I am really starting to worry I've been had!!! I emailed Tuesday and have had no reply. In fact nothing since payment was made!!!
Have spent the last three evenings catching up with maz's diary. Will probably take me that long for every diary I have to catch up on - I am nosy - have to know what has been going on:rotfl::o:rotfl: .Hmmm which next??The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

The plan this morning was to go back to bed for an hour as I have been up most nights this week with an awful cough however I have now spent longer on the pc than I had planned and only have half an hour before I have to leave for the kids christmas service - oh well best laid plans etc...
Must remember to get a birthday pressie for party tomorrow when I finish work tonight. Last day till after Xmas woohoo.:j:D
Postie still hasn't been so don't know if pressies ordered will be here today or not!
Just listened to old Tel's leaving message - will miss waking up to him - the ginger minger just won't be the same. The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hope everyone had a great christmas. We have eaten too much sweet stuff and still have tons of cake, sweets, chocolates and mince pies. The scales have been hidden until after Friday.:o
I go back to work tomorrow afternoon boohoo. Will hopefully get everything done in double quick time and might get out again by 4.30pm. I think there are more people at work than off so shouldn't be too hectic.
Have had 4 inches snow which is just refusing to melt. Our road doesn't get gritted so there have been a few nearies as it is still quite a busy road but not on a bus route hence no gritting.
Should really have an early night as have had two really late nights in a row - this is still early for me!
night all
