  • Hi,I received a letter to say that my overseas repayments increasing because the threshold they use to calculate repayments has changed in line with RPI and PLI. It is a 31% increase in my current repayment. Can you explain why this is happening? Given that RPI has remained the same recently.
    Thanks,
  • Please help! I have 3 old style loans and 1 new. I have just received a pack from Erudio and it says I owe £3000 in arrears. They said they did not receive any deferment since March 2014. I have not received any deferment pack even though they said they it was mailed. I have been on the phone for ages with them. They have now emailed a deferment form but I am not sure the best way to get the arrears sorted. I am still a student but work part time for £19,000 since Sept 2015. I have been a full time student before that from 2012 to 2015. I have never earned above the threshold. I am really worried that this will affect my credit and that I won't be able to get the arrears sorted - any advice much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Hi,
We are just about to complete Year 2 application for Student Finance fro my daughter. MSE info on Student Loans states:- "What is residual income? This is effectively the household income BEFORE tax and AFTER any pension contributions or allowances for dependent children".
Today, Student Finance England told me that Household income is Gross Income (i.e. before tax), and that's it. Not AFTER pension contributions. Any info ?

Yes the income is total taxable. No taking off pension contributions. Easiest way is looking at last years P60. Unless your income has reduced by 15% in the past year, then there is a whole other system to go through.
