    Thats a start :D

    They got back to me.

Gave me the same information I'd already been given. :(

According to the manager it is between the college and HEI.

There is nothing I can do.

College say they have informed HEI, HEI say they haven't.

Total shambles with me and my family in the middle with no funds.

I don't know what to do now.

Have you gone to uni to talk about getting into the Help Fund thing? Although I suspect the money left is low. I can't remember the exact name of it though.

    Yes, maximum £200.

My payment from SLC was £3500 which i should have received yesterday.

Rent is £650 so £200 is next to useless with a wife and 4 kids under 12 to support.

I'm in the middle of applying for Student Finance, I got an email from them a few days ago saying that my mum and dad needed to enter their details by the 4th of May otherwise I'd only get the basic level of finance, yet the deadline is in June.
The website also refused to link my dad to me, yet my mum could, at the moment he's travelling between Ghana and England quite frequently and can often leave at short notice, we rung SFE and they said he'd need to fill out the paper form, even though I'd said my dad would fill in his details online, any advice on what to do next? All my dad's tax details etc are at home so it's easy for us to fill that out, but if he's not here then he obviously can't sign it, my mum suggested that she forge his signature and he'll send an email saying that he gives us permission to do so.

Also, they cannot do that on the HEI line.

HEI Helpline is usually for course mismatches and confirming attendance. This needs to be reinstated by the assessments team, which is not the same.

Get your university to send written confirmation to SFE that you are not withdrawn, and it should be sorted.

The University have been requested to complete a Change Of Circumstances via the HEI portal and to submit a Resumption form even though I have never left.

SFE have confirmed that this is what is required as well.

This all stems from the Attendance confirmation sent to the college from SFE which had my new name on it and the college sending it back stating no such person is enrolled by mistake.

How long this will take I don't know but if it is too long then it puts my continuing in jeopardy.

Well having sourced and read the March 2010 guidelines for the HEI portal it seems it's the Uni that don't understand the system.

SFE will only act on notification sent via a Change of Circumstances via the portal only the will it be reinstated.

How long this will take is anyones guess.

Ignore Lokolo in this instance, it's not what's needed. He's usually right, although I need to be careful of letting him off his leish without my supervision.

It needs your university to do things, not you here.

Yeah I know Taiko. The Uni have done their bit now online via the portal yesterday my only concern is how long it is going to take.
