  • Hiya
I'm not sure how to go about this....
I started my course in 2007, I'm in the process of moving from my mam's house in Gateshead to my dad's house in Hull. So I'll need to download/send off a change of circumstances form, do I send this to the LEA in Hull or Gateshead?

Then I need to apply for student finance for 2009/2010 with this new address. Is there anything else I need to do apart from change the address? My name/account details etc are all the same.

    Hope someone can help!!
    Thanks :)

What course will you be doing and where?
  • I am attending Phil Winston College in Blackpool. It is a dance and performing college and I started las September. Had some savings that have quickly gone! And of course, I would have liked a bit of a part time work but cant find anything!
    Any ideas?

There's no financial help for private colleges like this, except for being able to claim EMA. You only get financial help for a course at a recognised college.
  • well, that answers my question!
it leaves me a bit stuck though!
    thanks

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but wouldn't it have been a good idea to have found this out before you started? The information is very prominent on the college's website.

    Hi
You need to contact the LEA at Gateshead as you generally stay with the LEA you made your original funding application to.

I have paid off my loan but not before SLC had taken off yet more money from my salary so they now owe me money. Any idea when I am likely to see this?
    Many thanks.

My Son has filled in his but and now when I go to do mine it asks me to enter an identifying code that should have been emailed to me??
I never recieved the email and when i click on view correspondence none has been sent !

I filled in my application and the status did say no supporting evidence was required and my application was being processed. I've just looked again and now it's 'awaiting sponsor information'. Like you, my husband hasn't received an email about it. However I've just looked at my application again and under sponsorship details it now has a note at the bottom with Alias ID - this is what I think you need in order to provide information. Your son should be able to access it and give the code to you - going to get my husband to have a look when he gets home.
