If you do a dummy booking you'll see that Electron cards are still being accepted without a fee being added. They'll get round to changing the website software soon I would imagine (maybe when they all get back after the New Year break.

that's why I said it because in the fees section it says it'sfree. anyway thank someone for giving duff information rather than me for giving correct information and trying to stop people having to pay for pre-loaded cards when they don't need to at the moment

This quote was taken from the Ryanair web site at 21.00 >03/01/2010

How can I pay for my flights?

Ryanair accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards and the following debit cards Maestro, Visa Connect, Visa Electron, Mastercard Prepaid Debit & Visa Delta for payment of your flights.
As a special offer to Visa Electron (VE) and Mastercard Prepaid Debit (MP) card holders, Ryanair, for a limited period only, will not apply an administration fee to those customers paying by these methods of payment.
Within Germany ONLY, ELV direct debit payments can only be accepted up to 10 days prior to the flight departure.
Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.
