If the dollar sinks too much it will mean their prices have to rise and you dont buy anything more for your money but its a while before it gets there still

I was recently in the US and i was surprised to see just how cheap things were in terms of on previous visits and just how many offers were in place.
It seemed like to stimulate their economy prices were being lowered to encourage spending.

Whereas in the UK we seem to have increased prices and reduced offers. It was only this morning on the way to work that i had to pay £1.10 for a litre of Petrol. This bugs me because Oil is stable and at prices it was 2 years ago yet fuel is at prices it was when Oil was almost $1.50 a barrel (it is currently at $77) Get your head round that.
Petrol in the US was around the $2.15 (in Texas and surrounding states) and $2.40+ (per US Gal) in Los Angeles and NYC.
Jeez KP where'd you shop for that gas? Or were you syphoning from other cars? :)
Gas is about $2.50 in Ohio and just under $3 in LA (was over $3 a few weeks ago in LA).

But you're right about offers. All fast food places have $1 menus (some even less than $1). Subway are doing a roaring trade with their $5 footlongs.
I've bought lots of stuff for my new house and haven't had to pay full price for anything!

I did the percentage one so it'd read easy

Dollar index means how much does a dollar buy in all the foreign countries. So its dropped 12% since the start of this year or 12% total in the last 3 years.

Just think of it as how much is a bigmac in mexico. Start of the year it was a dollar, now it will cost 1 dollar and 12 cents. (made up example)

Main conclusion is the dollar could drop more, in fact it was worth less last year

GBPUSD - sterling is starting to look a little heavy against the dollar, though its strength on the crosses is insulating it slightly as the dollar rallies today. A break below the 1.6520 area targets the support around 1.6440/50 level where there should be some additional buying interest.

Those prices were from about 6 weeks ago.

I filled up en route to Barstow so prob 30 miles out of LA.

However - I tend to use this: http://www.californiagasprices.com/ (Just replace the state to wherever you need) A quick look at Ohio shows gas being around the $2.30 mark.

Its ok...... I know im great :D
Good man. I don't believe all them names the other people call you...
I fill up on expenses in LA so doesn't bother me to get it cheap :)

    For Cincy I use this - http://www.cincygasprices.com/Map_Gas_Prices.aspx
But am about to check out that website.
