1.666 sound ominous but surprisingly positive for sterling, I didnt think it would trade back up like this but that just goes to show its never predictable.

Also I didnt think a share bid between two companies could affect an exchange rate between entire countries.
Sure 16bn sounds alot but not as much all the government gilts and QE, etc


On the share side ftse has massively outperformed the usa sp500 over the last month, they have lost as much in the dollar as any gains in the price - they are on a hamster wheel
We've had a slight rise in currency this last month and shares have risen greatly also from expectations uk will leave recession soon I guess, just like Martin said we would:money:

Any jolt to that positivity would put us back on a downtrend I suppose

Morning all how are we, been mega busy lately again which has been good hence why i haven't been on but im watching my FF team and hope they do ok. Thankfully real football resumes this week after the international nonsense which just gets in the way of the real stuff.
