burnt CD wont play in car

So i went to Itunes and went to burn a playlist now it come up with three options . Audio Cd , MP3 CD & Data/DVD CD. To me thats confusing , because if your a new user to this then Audio CD & MP3 Cd are technically the same.
Audio CDs came out in the 80s and hold 74 or 80 minutes of uncompressed audio, MP3s wern't around until the late 90s and are compressed to around 1/10th of the size of an uncompressed audio track.
An MP3 CD is just a data CD where all the files on it are MP3 files, you cat get roughly 10 times as much music onto a CD that way, but it only works if you have a stereo that can read such a CD. A traditional CD player obviously will not.0 -

I think Crampo understands that, he's just saying that if perhaps youre a technophobe or really aren't great with computers, it would seem confusing, compared to WM player where it decides automatically for you.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

It decides what automatically for you?0 -

But a data CD and an mp3 CD are two different things, or rather, they can be two different things.
And none of this changes that fact that "audio CD" means exactly the same thing in iTunes as it does in WMP.0 -

Exactly. One more thing to get confused about...
Oh yeah, and for me iTunes loads up slower than WM player, so for now I will only be using it for my iTouch and that's it!
EDIT: for example, if you were not that great with computers, you could go into iTunes and see 'MP3' CD and think, 'Oh yes! That's what all the songs play in now days', thus wasting a CD-R because iTunes has to give that one extra option. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

What's confusing?
If you want to burn an audio CD, you make sure "audio CD" is selected.
If you want to burn an mp3 CD, you make sure "mp3 CD" is selected.
Whereas in WMP, to burn an mp3 CD, you have to select "data CD". And this is supposedly clearer?Oh yeah, and for me iTunes loads up slower than WM player, so for now I will only be using it for my iTouch and that's it!
I hear the Zune software is pretty good.EDIT: for example, if you were not that great with computers, you could go into iTunes and see 'MP3' CD and think, 'Oh yes! That's what all the songs play in now days', thus wasting a CD-R because iTunes has to give that one extra option.
I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of an audio CD. They're the round shiny things that go in CD players.0 -

Generally people don't want to burn an MP3 CD, as is apparent in the OP's case and iTunes confusing CD types is what triggered the confusion IMO. We (as WM player supporters) are only suggesting the OP moves to WM player because perhaps, for the tasks the OP is doing, it could work out quicker and simpler. Fair enough, iTunes has sone good features such as the store, but seeing as the OP is importing his tracks, we suggest he uses WM player which overall, we feel will be easier for the OP.I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of an audio CD. Yes, but not everyone has heard of an MP3 CD and some people think because they have downloaded it or saved it in MP3 format, they need to use MP3 format for the disc. It also doesn't help when 'MP3 player compatible' is plastered on the radio's box.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

But how is it easier?!?
If you want to burn an audio CD, you have to select "audio CD" whether you're using iTunes or WMP. There's no difference between the two.
The only difference comes in if you want to burn something other than an audio CD.Yes, but not everyone has heard of an MP3 CD and some people think because they have downloaded it or saved it in MP3 format, they need to use MP3 format for the disc. If they want to burn an audio CD, it doesn't make any difference whether they've heard of an mp3 CD or not.
Apparently, you live in a world where people know what a data CD is, but don't know what an audio CD is.
Bizarre.0 -

Bizarre.
?? Where did you get that from? I was just saying if the person was not very up to date with all this technology, they might be confused as to which to pick: 'MP3' CD or Audio CD. With WM player, you don't get that confusion.
Anyway, places to go, things to see. Unfortunately I can't sit on MSE all day
