As Marty J said, it sounds to me from the number of tracks that you've burnt an mp3 cd from itunes and your car player is a normal audio cd player (these tracks need to be in wav format). Pretty sure there is an option in intunes to burn a "normal" cd but you will be limited to approx 18 tracks depending on the length of the songs.

Use Windows Media Player , Drag & Drop the Tunes You Want and Burn it That Way, Its Alot Simpiler and works with car stereos

How on earth is that a lot simpler?

Make a playlist in iTunes, click "burn disk", make sure "Audio CD" is selected, and then click burn.

    Media Player.
Burn Tab>Drag & Drop (or select your playlist) >Burn Button.

If it was that simply in itunes how come this person had trouble

As opposed to Make a playlist in WM player, click 'burn', make sure the "Audio CD" is selected and press burn BUT with perhaps a clearer UI?!?!?!?

They appear to have had no trouble burning a CD.

But, it seems as though they have changed it from the default of "audio CD" to something else.

I assume if you tell Windows Media Player to burn an mp3, it'll burn an mp3 CD.

Or does it read minds now?

So i went to Itunes and went to burn a playlist now it come up with three options . Audio Cd , MP3 CD & Data/DVD CD. To me thats confusing , because if your a new user to this then Audio CD & MP3 Cd are technically the same. Where as Media gives the user 2 clear cut options. Audio Or Data/DVD . To me this is alot easier for a user without the technical knowledge, Which at the end of the day these applications/programs are made for.

Specifically, the Red Book specification stipulates that:
    • Maximum playing time is 74 minutes (including pauses)
    • Minimum duration for a track is 4 seconds
    • Maximum number of tracks is 99
According to this, iTunes should take care of this stuff for you; if you have too many songs, it'll prompt you to insert another disc.

    You're really nit-picking now.

What if a user doesn't know what a "tab" is? How are they going to open the burn tab in WMP?

The words "Audio CD" mean the same thing in iTunes as they do in Windows Media Player. I have absolutely zero idea why anyone would think an audio CD and an mp3 CD "are technically the same".

Does WMP support AAC, which is iTunes' default importing format?

Ok, so if they don't know what a tab is, But On WMP it clearly says Burn. where as on itunes (correct me if im wrong) you have to right-click on the playlist and then click burn playlist.

And why as a user would i need to worry about AAC. As what would you say about 90% of all todays music files are a .mp3 format , why would Itunes stand out from the crowd.

Don't get me wrong everyone has there own way of doing things , but i still think it simiplier to do it through Media Player then Itunes.

There's a burn disk button in every playlist:

The OP imported their own music. If they did it with iTunes, there's a reasonable chance it's in AAC format.

In both applications, you click a burn disk button to burn a disk. I'm really not seeing how there's any massive difference between the two.
