The observant amongst you will note jane has imbedded a shopping cookie in OP's quoted text.

Please excuse my ignorance...but what exactly is a 'Cookie Stuffer'?

I have looked at her other posts and all have other peeps quotations in them.

I always understood that they couldnt give back your parcels as they were in the custody of the Royal Mail once they had been handed over.

I hate it when I go to the Post Office as its exactly there job that you are asking them to do. Its not like you are asking them to do a favour. All you want is for them to price and take your parcels but they are so miserable in their work it becomes a chore.

I guess you could complain but it will probably go nowhere and I think if its a small sub post office it wont even be worth the effort to complain.

technically all mail items belong to the queen in transit
just try getting her to deliver the bloody things though ;)

i would of said that despite my request, unmanagable or not, her attitude was highly offensive and rude, where is the manager as i have a complaint to make.
she will sharp find the parcel, or get the manager. either way, you get a moral victory

I think once it's in the system, the PO are obliged to deliver it to the address on the package - think about it, anyone could say they'd 'made a mistake' and needed to get any parcel or envelope back - the PO's job is to deliver it. I'm sorry her attitude was unhelpful, but you may not get very far with your complaint. Better off first of all to spend time trying to correct the damge of your own mistake - contacting the two buyers who won't be getting what they thought they'd get. Then, if you can be fagged, and wouldn't really rather sit down with a cuppa, give the post office a ring.

That's what I'm doing - I've contacted the buyer so hopefully we can sort it out between us. Just to clarify again though - my complaint is not about the fact that I couldn't get the parcel back, but solely about her attitude.

heehhee cyril82, love your story....I'm actually tempted to go back down and have it out with her!!!! But, I can't be bothered!!!!! :o
