    Morning all

Firstly welcome to flissh and julietiff

Pouring again here this morning - the rain never knows when to stop once it starts does it?!?!?

Am off work this morning hence the late start, loads to do at home finding places for all the addition bits and pieces from late MiL's - no idea where I can put all this stuff (other than loft as usual - but we really need to sort the loft out as we are going to put more insulation up there this summer and board it all out properly) I have SiL coming from work for tea tomorrow and at the moment we cannot get into the dining room so it will have to be sorted today:rolleyes:

Bm will be going on shortly, wm already on, dw to be emptied so really I need to get on. I also am going to sort fridge out and after reading JackieO's post think I shall do same with all wilting veggies and shove them in the slow cooker to make a pan of veg soup (thanks Jackie) so that with Hm bread for tea I think.

Hope everyone has a good day

    xxx

    Hi Tired Mum,
DB2 went to the clinic on 14th (his B/day) he had the growth on his thigh measured, and as it has increased at an alarming rate, the clinic phoned Oncology Consultant at the hosp and they want to see him this Thursday to see what can be done. He now has 47 growths.
Thank you for asking after him. :A

    :hello:Good morning!

It was sunny here when I got up, but the sky looks very suspicious now so I don't think I'll be hanging any washing out.

Just found half a cauliflower lurking in a zippy bag at the back of the fridge :o It looks too far gone even to be put in soup :o Oh well....at least our local council lets us put food waste with the garden waste for recycling.

Not sure what we'll be doing today - I'm guessing DH won't feel up to much as he did a pile of ironing yesterday so will probably just go to baker's and paper shop. I'm so thankful that we have a car, as otherwise we wouldn't be able to get out and about much at all.

We bought one of those !!!!!!! Bags" from Lakeland and have found that although it works well, because the bananas are now in the bag, in the fridge, we keep forgetting they're there.......

(((HUGS))) to all, and welcome to our new posters.

    Morning All!
Had a good weekend. Helped out at the MS Spring Fayre. I was on bric a brac and we made £139, which considering we were selling most things for 10p or 20p wasn't bad!:T

DD came over yesterday, as I had a huge chicken for dinner. Fajitas today. Made stock from the carcass, and made a huge pot of leek and potato soup this morning, much to DS's delight!:rotfl:

Just washed the covers of my sofas, first time, hope they don't shrink:eek:

Lovely and sunny in Hastings at the moment!

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all.

Just a quickie from me as I'm feeling grotty with this sinus infection and just want to get my head in a position where the world won't tilt on its axis

Thriftlady, Essex Girl & all mums being driven mad - I, too, am dreading half term next week as my lot have done nothing but be bored, bicker, argue, swear & fight with each other all wkend too  I actually threw them all out for a walk with the dog yesterday afternoon as I was so fed up with them. It can often be like a warzone at our dinner table too - I sometimes wonder why I insist that we all sit down together. I'd like to eat alone with the tv for company now and again ;) Kids eh???? We love them but are driven to distraction by them at the same time :rotfl:

((((hugs)))) to all that need one xxx

    Afternoon lovelies! hi.gif

Started reading the thread this morning and now it's the afternoon!
flissh and julietiff - welcome2.gif to the thread!
julietiff - sorry to hear you are in pain hon
tired mum and Noahs - No, no sign of Tristan. I have emailed our mutual friend but I know depending on her work she sometimes does not check her emails for days. I am sure if anything awful had happened I would know...
Beth - hope the Drs can do something quickly for your brother. *hugs* to you.
Redruby - thank you for the Kingsmill vouchers, most appreciated! Am hoping I can find a few more before they disappear completely from the shelves!
Grandmasam - congrats on your first star!!

goodluck2.gif to everyone whose children are taking exams today and extra hugs.giffor you mums dealing with exam stress!

BM has just pinged and I am about to go make some spreads to go in the sandwiches. In case anyone is interested, if you click HERE you will find my recipes for Vegetable Spread/Dip; Curried Bean Dip/Spread and cucumber and cheese spread. They make a change from cheese and tomato sandwiches!

Weather is a bit grey and very windy so no gardening, but hoping to get to Trago Mills as they have a brand new Garden centre that has just opened with some great deals on compost and chicken poo pellets. (Which is the best fertilizer I have ever used!)

Dinner is cold pork from yesterday and some more roasties.

Am a bit worried about Treacle the catcat2.gif- she seems to be losing a lot more fur than she normally does at this time of year. Maybe it's just old age but she has such thick fur the thin bits show more. Can't see anything wrong with her skin.

Warm gentle smileyhug.giffor all - Have a great day

    Diva.x

p.s. The sun just came out so maybe I can attempt some gardening after all if it warms up!
To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
