Seller not accepting paypal

i have just read your other posts and looking at them ( any1 reading this thread id advise to read his other posts ) as its a regular conversation you seem to complain a lot about other sellers about lots and lots or different things regarding ebay , so you are obviously are one of the ones who give ebay buyers a bad name !!!!
I do complain a lot about sellers using ebay that do not understand it, we get threads on here where people have sent a cheque or done a bank transfer and ask what they can do when seller says their item has bene lost in the post and they refuse to reimburse the buyer.
Most of those buyers go on to say that they won't use ebay again as sellers rip them off, which as a seller myself means one less person who might be bidding on my goods.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. its ebay you take risks but never happened as times when its happened me and the seller has aggreed refund or if applicable then claim lost money from special delivery as done before , just dont think theres any need to call sellers names or cause problems for someone over simple things thats all
You still misunderstand the problem. What will you do if seller says they sent your goods but will not refund you when they do not arrive?
How are you going to claim from the special delivery you used to send the original payment
Once you use ebay a bit more you will see sellers that still state in their listings that they are not responsible for items lost in the post..so yes there are sellers who you would lose money on.
A good seller will always refund a buyer regardless of how they paid, but it is not them you need to be worried about.

Ebay brainwashing clearly works...
At last!! it is finally nice to have someone around here that does not buy into the ebay/paypal propaganda.
The abuse i have had over recent weeks for pointing out the flaws with paypal and trying to explain why they are not the safest way to pay is unbelievable...
I have been called stupid for criticising them not to mention, "a scammer" "A pr1ck" "a Troll (made me laugh !!!!!! is a troll)" and had my credibility as an ebayer called into question (which again made me laugh).
The company are not safe to handle monopoly money in my opinion.0 -
Some people just can not help themselves.
If I see a listing where the seller deliberately goes out of their way to bend the rules, and whinging about paypal costs, generally being unprofessional or just appearing like a gobby chav, I found a great feature on my browser to fix it.
A back page arrow.
It's like listings with loads of T&C's about payment must be received in x days, and I want this, and I want that, and you wont do this, etc etc etc. They have no place on eBay. If they want to make their own rules up and think that they are the next Alan Sugar, then they can stand in a field at the back of their car on a Sunday morning and work their way up from there.
Cheques "may" be secure and enforceable, but for the sake of a few quid I really can not be arrised to faff around writing one out, getting it posted, waiting for it to clear, with the risk that the numpty at the other end who doesn't understand ebay may not understand how the postal system works.
If people still want to transfer bits of paper around by a man with a bag over his shoulder, then is eBay, or any even the internet in general, really the place for them to be shopping?
Nope - as a buyer and seller, give me paypal, or any electronic funds transfer system. This is the 21st century afterall.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Soolin - a fool and their money are easily parted. Some people may try to save the pennies, but spending pounds in the process.
As long as people know the potential risks of their actions, it is up to them to make their own decisions.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Electronic payment methods are better, just in my opinion not via paypal.
I'd much rather accept credit and debit payments using worldpay deposited directly into my merchant account, at least then when i send out the goods i know some scammer can't just click a button and have his money returned.0 -
I don't think you understand how buyer protection works. The seller is working against ebay rules, he is showing the paypal accepted symbol as he is obliged to do, therefore he can't refuse to take it. If he is happy to be so blatant about rule breaking, what else is he prepared to do..rip off a few buyers maybe? After all if you are going to send a cheque or PO you have no protection at all.
Apart from a few notable exceptions sellers cannot refuse paypal, end of story.
If you were relaxed about trusting this seller with a postal order I think his last negative makes interesting reading!
Anyway, I think it is immaterial, with his feedback, those TSFE terms about not taking paypal he doesn't seem able to sell anything anyway, so he is effectively banning himself from ebay and I wouldn't even bother reporting it. TSFE sellers rarely fare well, there will be such a limited number of new or naive buyers willling to even consider buying.
I bought an expensive item (£3000+) with Buy It Now recently from a business seller who is refusing to claim the Paypal payment and says they don't take Paypal as a "policy". Paypal doesn't want to know about the problem. Ebay tell me they can't force the seller to accept Paypal. There's no point in them requiring him to list that he accepts it, is there?0
