Seller not accepting paypal

Is it true that all sellers have to offer Paypal? What happens if the seller still states that only po or cheques acceptable?

How can I pay? The seller still has no paypal account?

http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=beautybaseliquor&ftab=AllFeedback

I wonder why all the previous buyers have paid by cheque/PO? Perhaps I could drop them an email? Is it against Ebay's rules to do this?

EDIT
Look at the description for all the other listings, still says
"Please pay by cheque or postal order as that is how i prefer to be paid (more fees otherwise and please take this into consideration before bidding) i will send as soon as cheque clears thankyou "

Why? So do you pay all your sellers by cheque or PO?

Also, what happens if there is a dispute? 'NO PROTECTION'

If they refuse to accept Paypal report them to ebay, its against Ebay rules not to accept paypal on all but a very few items (like vehicles for example)

Heres a thought, if a seller doesn't want to be paid by paypal and he states it in his listing, and you're not happy with that just don't buy.

To buy and then demand paypal payment with the threat of "i'll report you if you don't" is pathetic.

No one forces you to buy from sellers who state terms you dont like, so why try to force a seller to accept your terms if he does not like them??

    Just buy elsewhere.

I don't think you understand how buyer protection works. The seller is working against ebay rules, he is showing the paypal accepted symbol as he is obliged to do, therefore he can't refuse to take it. If he is happy to be so blatant about rule breaking, what else is he prepared to do..rip off a few buyers maybe? After all if you are going to send a cheque or PO you have no protection at all.

Apart from a few notable exceptions sellers cannot refuse paypal, end of story.

If you were relaxed about trusting this seller with a postal order I think his last negative makes interesting reading!

Anyway, I think it is immaterial, with his feedback, those TSFE terms about not taking paypal he doesn't seem able to sell anything anyway, so he is effectively banning himself from ebay and I wouldn't even bother reporting it. TSFE sellers rarely fare well, there will be such a limited number of new or naive buyers willling to even consider buying.

Other than the full weight of UK law.

Paypal being the only "safe" way to pay for anything is a marketing myth put about by the owners of Paypal.

    HTH.
