soappie welcome home! and
valli that thread makes me cringe, and I don't really know why! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Having mopped (yes - mopped!) the bathroom ceiling and walls, I'm saying hello to Gordon to get the smell and taste of mildew remover out of my mouth and nostrils. I bumped into this post by GreenbeeI'm trying to think of reasons why I might need to go up to the Edinburgh office so I can drop in on Toots and check up on her
. I've checked the map, and there is a definite shortage of flyladies in her part of the world... and she definitely needs keeping under observation! Do you think soappie would lend us her webcam?!
...
Of course we could set  Buster  up to keep an eye on Toots!
In fact, it got me thinking. With all this time on my hands maybe BB and I could do a Flylady tour of the country - end destination being Toots' house. I pop in for a cup of tea at all those Flyladies on the westerly side of the country, say Boo! to Toots and then travel back down popping in for a cup of tea at all those Flyladies on the easterly side, doing the Midlands partly on the way and partly on the way back. I could call it "Soappie Heads Up North to Toots'" (SHUNT for short) :rotfl:
It could be a good practical exercise on the Travelling Salesman Problem - how to reach as many people as possible by driving the shortest distance.
Blimey - my imagination doesn't half run away with me sometimes.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi everyone, flitting through just to catch up and then must go cook dinner.
I've done loads of washing today. and only one lot left to dry! Otherwise, outside gardening. Two hours on the allotment with DD and DS2 this morning, making very good progress there. I'm hoping the weather holds as we should have it up to scratch by the end of the week. Oh, mozzy, I picked a carrier bag of lettuce leaves today!
AnW's mum - love and hugs.
soappie welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time! ETA Welcome here anytime!!!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Evening all
Soappie glad you had a great trip and looking forward to your visit to me although I guess I'd be near the end of your tour.
Really don't feel I've achieved much at all today but I did manage to get DS1 new trainers and watch a bit of DS3 football.
Treated myself to a new M&S duster today so I'm going to try that out in the living room in a minute. I think I'll soak my feet and do my nails after that - feeling quite lethargic. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Welcome back Soappie! Glad you had a good time away. Operation SHUNT sounds like a brilliant idea, I definitely think you should do it. You can take Buster and film yourself visiting all the flyladies and gents and than post it on the web so we can all see what you got up to!
I've had quite a good day today. Went to pick up my car at my friend's house and while I was there I fed her cat. She did a very good impression of a starving cat, even tho she had lots of dry food left. I put 2 pouches of wet food out and she ate nearly all of it in about 20 seconds! I decided I'd better go in twice a day instead of once a day as my friend had asked, as I don't want her to go hungry. Went back this afternoon and the same thing happened and then she went back to the kittens who all squawked for milk so she lay down quickly and lay on 2 of them! They squeaked indignantly so she got up again and repositioned herself! They all started eating apart from the little black and white one who didn't bother to find the milk - his sisters seem to sit on him a lot and he just didn't seem to have any fight left in him. I picked him up and put him next to his mum and he immediately started eating. I need to keep an eye on him and make sure the girls are letting him eat. (I'm saying him and the girls altho we don't know yet what they are but I've decided what they are in my head!)
Is this normal behaviour for cats? Have never had anything to do with any cats before? Do you think the boy is alright?
Saw Mum and Dad which was good, I've been a bit upset about feeling so ill and the whole job thing, so they calmed me and soothed me, and I had a good talk with them.
I've also been shopping today, and popped into Homebase too and got some sticky numbers to put on our wheelie bin as the permanent marker pen we were using to write our number on the bin isn't permanent! As we live in flats it's important we only put our rubbish in our own bin as people get annoyed if rubbish goes in the wrong bin!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
