Uninsured car parked in front of my house

i often have 2 or 3 cars at my house, i contract for different people and they all give me different cars, luckily i have somewhere to keep them, but if i didnt it would probably cause a situation like this
to put your mind at rest contact the cop shop, if they do something result, if not its probably all above board0 -
out of interest are they showing valid road fund licences (tax discs)?
Cos you can't (officially) buy them if the vehicle is uninsured.
If he is trading in a residential are then the council should be interested.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Although they're unlikely to take action without a specific complaint that they are doing something against the law. If you start making things up then you may feel the sharp end of the words "wasting police time".hewhoisnotintheknow wrote: »to put your mind at rest contact the cop shop, if they do something result, if not its probably all above board0 -
Tax runs out end of next month. It seems he bought the van with this tax still on.
The man is weird cos like i said council have spoken to him and have recently removed one of his vehicles that he dumped and later claimed it belonged to the finance company. so he has history0 -
Lum if your friend is not in the motor trade and has taken a policy out to get cheaper insurance on his Porsche he will get a shock if he ever makes a claim as they will insist on proof he is in the motortrade eg his books or other evidence. If he cannot provide this they will through out the claim (A lot of the cheap and chearful Road Risk Motor Trade Policy only offer Third Party Only Cover on Porsches and the like).
If he is with Tradex they have a reputation as one of the worst Insurers in the market.0 -
Well he can only get tax if he has insurance so you have a while to waitnaijapower wrote: »Taxed runs out end of next month. It seems he bought it with this tax still on.0 -

Thanks for this. I am happy you have pointed this out to Lum cos i found it hard to understand how anyone would do something like this and end up with issues when time to claim comes up0 -
