He is 8.5 months, and started out on the 25th line. He is half indian though and I think Indian babies are a little lighter on average anyway. He seems healthy to us and like I said he has never been sick.
Well the charts are definitely going to be wrong in his case and you would know if he was ailing. Health visitors always think they know best and also they are trying to cover their backs which I suppose you can't blame them for as joe public is quick to condemn if they fail in their duties. I am sure he is fine.

Do the charts just give an average for white english babies, or do they take other backgrounds into account?DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

The charts have just been updated (May 2009) because previously the charts you and I use were based on a formula fed baby and as formula milk has more calories than breast milk a breast fed baby will appear underweight when they are not.I can't find out details about the old chart but the new chart is based on six countries but they don't say which countries. As I said the consultant said they were not very accurate so please don't worry as long as he looks well and is not sick and is gaining some weight he will be fine.

Wow Lunar. Your house is fab and if that first pic is your lad then awwww what a wee cutie. I agree with the others re your instincts for your ds re food. I started my 2 on solids prior to when the health visitor said as they were constantly hungry. The were never overweight and always nice and healthy. I just fed them healthy food with no salt etc and all was well. Have you moved yet?5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

The first picture is my little boy, I think he is a cutie but I may be biased. I am going to have to stop worrying about his food. He is healthy, he eats fruit, vegies, chicken, fish, toast and crumpets with cheese spread, yougarts and the occasional white chocolate button. He really doesnt like mashed up food and I think me trying to get him to eat foods he really doesn't like is just going to make both of us stressed. Ill take him back in 4 weeks as they requested for his weight and see what it reads then.
Its the end of this month when we move MIT, the rest of the packing boxes are being delivered next week for me to get everything sorted. we have taken bits and pieces over every time we go to check on the house.
OH is working locum all weekend so we wont be going out spending anything, I really need to get some gardening done if it stops raining. I dont want to get charged for it when we move out of this house.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
I have just spent 3 hours changing addresses for when we move and I still have loads to go. I also need to go and buy a paper shredder and then have to get everything sorted and filed. I have been through the house and have now got 5 piles of paperwork gathered up that must be a foot high each. OH gets lots of things at work from teaching sessions and drug companies. I am determined to get everything filed before we go, and then to keep on top of it.
I am also in the middle of sorting out all our clothes so we dont take thinks we have not worn for 5 years with us. Its a shame we dont have a car as I could really do with having a car boot sale. I will try find time to list the main bits on ebay but I think lots of things will be going to a charity shop before we leave.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

I have the boxes being delivered today so will be spending all my time packing. I have managed to get most of the paperwork organised now, i just need to buy some more files to put it all in. I cant believe we finally move next week.
I have ben looking through the freebies board and have won a football, 2 cricket balls and a rugby ball from mars. aldo have signed up to be a boots product tester and have a bunch of free samples on there way.
Money wise things are really tight right now, we have paid the movers on an empty credit card which we will pay off as soon as payday arrives on the 30th. I really need to get back into dooyoo, I just dont have enough time right now to write reviews as i type so slowly.
I really cant wait to get settled now in the house, everything feels so disorganised at the minute and we seem to be spending a fortune on everything.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

Hiya!
Wow, 2 weeks and counting, you must be so excited!
I agree with everyone else that you shouldn't worry about DS's weight. As long as he's feeding well then there's no problem. I've got the exact opposite with both of mine, they eat virtually nothing (and I mean nothing - some days they'll be lucky if they've had 4 mouthfuls of food each despite offering lots) yet Adam is the tallest in his class and Greg is 16mths but been wearing 18-24 for ages, and they're both full of energy. As long as you're happy that's all that matters.0
