  • Hi Lunar!

I must apologise that I have been MIA and seem to have missed this thread altogther so have just read through the whole thing - thank goodness it wasn't too long yet!

Congrats on the house - I am so envious. It looks lovely. I can't believe how old the little one is now too. I really must get back into MSE (for more than one reason!)

I know it's an old post now, but I wouldn't worry about his weight. Tom started on the 2nd centile but isn't even on the chart now. He's 19 months and wears 9-12 month tops and 6-9 month bottoms and no-one has ever said he has a problem. He eats constantly too! I think he's just going to be a little fella for quite some time yet. Suits me - saves a fortune in clothes.

Hi Lunar! Thanks for the kick-up-the-butt text message a couple of weeks ago, although looking at how long it is since your last post, I might have to send you one this week!

That's brilliant news about the Barclaycard, it must be such a satisfying feeling getting rid of something you've had for so long.

I'll defo pop round for a cuppa next time I'm passing, although goodness knows when that'll be! Would be fab to see the littl'un while he's still little - they're all growing up so fast, aren't they?!

Off to find Choca's diary, it's been ages...

The loan is now gone! we managed to get 2 0% cards, our credit rating is now completly down the pan due to moving and lots of credit checks but all our debt is now at 0% and will hopefuly stay that way until it is gone.

We each also have some money in savings, I have £300 and OH has £2500. OH has to have at least £2000 in savings for his visa requirement, and he at least will need to be debt free by the time it is up for renewal in 2012, should be doable.

He has given me the task of figuring out how much our expenses are for 6 months and has decided that as soon as we are debt free he wants to have 6 months expenditure in each of our accounts for a back up. This means I really need to sit and work out our SOA again and add everything up.

I cant wait until we are debt free, still not sure if it will be before I am 30 but that is still our goal. Hopefuly when OH gets paid this month we will break the 20k barrier!

Thanks for the kick on my diary everyone, I really need to get on here every day otherwise I loose focus and overspend!

Just been on your diary savingholmes, stole some ideas for christmas pressies and ran off to write them in my note book (I know that sounds sad but I am really forgetfull.) So far I have been pretty money neutral for christmas. I have been ebaying and using vouchers from dooyoo and lightspeed for most things. We are having the family here this year so the food will cost a small fortune, hopefuly my home grown veggies will reduce the cost a little. Ive not grown them before so we will have to wait and see.
