Finally in the new house and have proper internet access again. We still have loads of boxes to unpack and jobs to do. We are starting to find our way around the new area.

Money seems to be getting spent to easily but we have not added to any debt. Now I have a rough idea of our monthly expenses I will try working out a new SOA next week. I also want to work out when our debt free date will be. I am pleased with how the debts are looking though.

DS is almost 10 months now, I cant believe howfast he is growing up! I really need to find the motivation to go cut the grass now while we have a few hours of sun.

Hi Lunar just caught up on reading your diary. Your house and baby look gorgeous and it looks like you got a real bargain with the house. Hopefully it will go up quickly in value once the recession is over! All those overpayments sound good too - I just want to get back into work again so we can make real progress on reducing our debt.....

I have been so busy this month, im just not finding the time for updates. DS perfected crawling 2 weeks ago so I am spending my time chasing him round. It has cost us enough just getting the lounge safe for him. We had to buy a new tv cabinate as he was crawling in the old one to get to the wires.

We are also having to save for a new boiler, the one in our house is so old and I really miss the instant hot water we had in the old house. I have no idea how much that will cost us. The oven also needs replacing, I had someone take a look at ours on a free call out and he said it would cost almost as much to repair as it will be to replace.

Given all of the above the debts are going down, just a bit slower than we initially hoped. We also want to save enough so that we can have IVF again in around 14 months time.

I am still hoping to bee debt free by the time im 30, which was my initial goal when I joined the site. Ive got 11 months to go meaning we need to pay off £2000ish per month to make my deadline!!!!

Yep MIT I was laughing too when I worked that one out. Oh well, I may not be debt free by 30 but I didnt think we would be able to buy a house this year so I am pretty happy with how we are getting on.

Savingholmes, any luck getting back into work? you are right about the house it was a definate bargin. Hopefuly in 3-4 years time OH will get a consultant job in this area so we dont have to move. we love the area and have found a school that would be perfect for DS in a few years.

Panda, you are more than welcome to visit my new house. You like wading through boxes dont you?

    Barclaycard is gone.

The barclaycard was my first step into debt at 18 when I started uni. I am so happy to have paid it off and closed it today.

Unfortunatly the next target for us has to be saving up for the big loan, the other credit cards still have 6 months interest free to run so it doesn't seen right to pay those off. Hopefully I will be able to get a new balance transfer deal when they are due to end.
