DD had an accident today

Blimey, what a thread. It had all the signs of trolls gathering and it really went that way.
So, 1. The person turning right appears to be at fault. Of course, there might be some reason the DD is at fault / liable - maybe she never passed a test, got an imposter to do it for her and DD has no arms and uses her teeth to control the steering wheel? But sepculation based on nothing more than what "might" have happened is pointless.
2. Afaik if the other party is found to be liable, it shouldn't impact on her insurance.
I skim read most of it and can conclude that:-
1. the person who said that in their opinion the DD was partly liable has a problem with forming strong opinions based on little evidence. OP's statements point to no liability, anything else is un-informed speculation, which isn't any form of evidence.
2. B & C - your accident was your fault based on your statements - OP's here wasn't her DDs based on hers. You don't like that, well, that's understandable, but you do come across as gloating over her DDs accident. That's pretty reprehensible.
Hey ho.
and remember, be nice! :money:0 -

7am is not early:rotfl:
Do you work
I get up at 5.30, sometimes 5.15.
I lay in till 7am sometimes at the weekend:rolleyes:0 -
Even if the other party is found to be totally liable there is a very god chance the DD's insurance premiums will be slightly effected by the claim...0

Why dont you go to the place of the accident a week exactly from her accident, at the same time too see if any of the regular foot traffic saw anything or hang a sign on a lamp post asking for witnesses ?(using a PAYG sim, you dont want nutters knowing your mobile number)
You never know you may find a credable, honest upstanging stranger who is willing to tell the truth. I would if I had seen an accident such as your daughters, it could have been anyone of us driving.
Thats a good idea if we need to do it.
Just wondering, would it be classed as independent though?
It could be said, we had done that for show & used friends?0 -
Sorry MrsE, but from reading some of your previous posts, I have to say that is the pot calling the kettle black! I do hope that your daughter is ok, but you must see the reason why most of the comments are of a negative nature?
This puzzles me......
Why must it be obvious for there to be negative comments?0 -
And I forgot to mention in the first post & have been side tracked since.
But the lady did eventually (after sitting staring out her window for some time) apologise to my daughter & admit it was her fault.
However I do know insurance companies do try & get people to say other things, so until she admits it to (or even contacts) her insurance you never can tell.0 -

That's just it. The woman is highly unlikely to blame your daughter at all. I would be surprised if she does, if your daughter's version is accurate. Even if she does, the insurers may well decide to deal with your daughter's claim in any event.0 -

If you had mentioned that in the first post, I dont think this thread would be quite so long.
I got the impresssion that the woman didnt want to know.
Assuming she will tell the insurance company the truth, I cant see a problem and her insurance wont be much different next year IMO0 -

I doubt it, many have suggested my DD is a liar, they would have said she (or I) was lying about that.
I think its unfair to suggest I am responsible for the posts that the abuse team saw fit to remove.0 -
