DD had an accident today

MrsE,if you read that thread you would know that no insurance claim was put in from either party. You were quick to point the finger at me and the irony is that you are on the receiving end and you really do not like a taste of your own medicine.
If all you have to do is name call then you have lost any credible argument you thought you had. I will continue to thank those I agree with and if you don't like it just get the thread closed as a lot of posts seem to be already missing due to someone being overly sensitive and hysterical.0 -
Why not use the Insurance company's approved repairer and take the courtesy car on offer, rather than driving a car which may not be road worthy. A specialist bodyshop will have more experience of this type of repair than a main dealer which is more used to straight forward servicing and many main dealers outsource bodywork repairs to such specialist anyway.0

My DD passed her test two months ago & bought the new shape KA.
Will it affect her no-claims? Assuming it goes in her favour of course.
It must be a fairly open & shut in this case, with her pulling over onto the path of an oncoming car?
Mrse why hav loads of posts been removed as you did ask 2 questions in your OP and most responses have tried to answer one or both of the questions.
I havent changed from my original opinion that without witnesses it could still be 50/50
I do sympathise with you over the posts about compo as AFAIK you never mentioned it0 -
I've not read every post, as it seems people are discussing other threads and trying to work out liability etc etc.
But I do have 2 points to make, which may be useful to the OP.
1. You ask if no claims would be affected. Excuse my simlpe mind but what "no claims"? If only passed 2 months ago, there would virtually be no claims discount to lose in the first place?
2. I had a no fault accident some years ago (I did have a 10+year clean record upto that point) and it has had no noticeable affect on the insurance premiums I pay now. I still quote the accident on renewal forms coz I eventually settled 3 years after the event. But between doing searches and making the most of cashback sites, I pay the same or less each year I renew.

We paid for her insurance this year, next year she was expecting (without claims) for it to be much cheaper. Next year she will be paying for it.
I was wondering if instead of a reduction on this years preimum, she can expect more of the same or worse:eek:
Thank you0 -

Because abuse removed them as they suggested my DD was drunk/drugged, a fraudster, compo chaser, workshy layabout, etc (she is a professional young woman who works hard for the NHS actually & has never been out of education or work:rolleyes:).
I'm worried about her lack of witness, but hoping the fact that she (BMW driver)crossed on coming trafic (which had right of way) will be ok for her (my DD).
Thank you, I'm one of the few people who didn't mention compo & I won't be drawn into it, I was asking about insurance renewals.0 -

My DH had an ambulance crash into his car (before ball&chain or asbo get excited, he was parked up, liability couldn't be questioned).
Fords sent it to their approved repairers (£25K car) & they did a smashing job, so would be nice for it to go there, its only two months old, so she wants it good as new.0 -

I can't believe you keep this (& I wasn't out of order to you anyway) on hold for over a year:rolleyes:
Thats why I called you a nutter;)
I called you twisted because you expressed delight at my daughters car accident, I guess you're not a parent huh:rolleyes:
Believe me I won't remember you a week from now, never mind over a year:rotfl:0 -
I must be giving you nightmares if you are responding at 7 in the morning. How odd.0

Why dont you go to the place of the accident a week exactly from her accident, at the same time too see if any of the regular foot traffic saw anything or hang a sign on a lamp post asking for witnesses ?(using a PAYG sim, you dont want nutters knowing your mobile number)
You never know you may find a credable, honest upstanging stranger who is willing to tell the truth. I would if I had seen an accident such as your daughters, it could have been anyone of us driving.0
