Go to London on Megabus - Take a camera and your dinner and just do the sights. Costs £1 each way
Make your own booze - I am currently brewing Elderflower Champagne in my kitchen! Costs 2 bags sugar and 4 lemons to make 24 wine bottles!
Apply for freebie cinema tickets on the freebies forum - we get to go twice a week for nothing usually.
Picnics - have a look whats happening in your local parks. During the summer, you can often find a free film airing in your local park.
Long walks exploring area's locally that you have not vsited. Its amazing what is on your doorstep. Act as if you were a tourist and find out what you are missing. You will be amazed!!0 -
Me and my now ex used to go to the station with a set amount of money (never more than £10) and see how far it would take us. We'd take lunch with us and just spend a day exploring a new place, and the best bit was that we never knew where we'd end up.0

sorry to rain on your parade but can I just ask that you please don't feed waterfowl with bread it gives them "Angel Wing"... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Wing- Feed the ducks (free if it's stale bread you weren't going to eat anyway)
why not grate/process the bread for breadcrumbs (and store in freezer) then use to coat fish or chicken or toppings for desserts...just in case you need to know:
HWTHMBO - He Who Thinks He Must Be Obeyed (gained a promotion, we got Civil Partnered Thank you Steinfeld and Keidan)

Had a look at the freebie cinema tickets, but there weren't any near me, will keep an eye out tho
The Megabus sounds good, had a look at the site but I don't think I could use it as there is nothing near me. But might be able to use it once I had got to London to go further afield, and maybe use the free stuff in london0 -
Design your own birthday/Yule/other celebration cards on the PC.
I did all our wedding stationery usinf Microsoft Publisher.
You can be as creative as your imagination allows, you get stuff you'd not find in the shops, and you can personalise it if you want.
I also do our annual kitchen calendars on Publisher, using holiday photos taken with the digital camera for the pictures. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I like the idea of the calendar. I do greetings cards (when I don't use ecards!), but I could do calendars etc with the photo's, they would look lovely. I'm sure my Mum would like one of those with her great grandchildren on.0 -
I originally started doing the calendars because I wanted one showing Pagan festivals, and the only ones I could find in the shops cost an arm and a leg! So pretty MS really!:jIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
