now i've a meeting with a consultant next week with my OH to discuss starting a family)
I think you will find what you want, your own future from that meeting. Going to go now. Be back later.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

I’ve been reading the boards for a while now, I don’t post often, I don’t feel that I have a lot to offer anyone that can’t be better said or done by others. However I have noticed that Merlinexcalibur is often there posting, offering help and support to anyone who needs it. To want to help others is a good thing; to actually do something about it is a great thing. You’re a good person, doing great things Merlinexcalibur and there are plenty on this forum that have benefited from your wisdom and experience. Hold your head high; be proud of your achievements for they are many.0

Thank you Sue23. You made me very emotional saying that. Not in a bad way, but I worry at times that I do the wrong things. So it has made a difference.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Its good that you are going to see a counsellor - thats what I was going to advise you to do. We all have to take responsibility for our own happiness.

True. This week got me thinking about that. I listen to others a lot, but forget about myself and that I need to 'offload' if you like and have someone be a listener for me. Taken me months to even get an appointment TBH, and with some 'coercion' from me due to relocation, typically no one tells anyone what's going on so you are left in a vacuum. Been trying to get my physical health sorted out, too, for ages. Getting knocked back with those or set backs lately. Just getting referred to the right people. Though, whilst there waiting I do start tuning/listening to conversations around me. I like to get a picture of what's happening in people's lives. Not nosey, though, just very interested in a caring way. Can't do anything about it, of course. The services aren't as easily accessed as they once were. Which is a crying shame because I know it makes it harder for those who need them more. These days especially more so. It is a fight, if you like, for someone out there but that's not for me to do. As it does need to get sorted out for everyone. Things don't tend to get easier because someone always comes along and complicates them. Or shuts services down that are 'abitrary'. Except the power of communication, the power of speaking/listening is something I cherish above most all else.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. And I you. I just think it's great such a place like this exists. So people can reach out, not be alone, to struggle with these burdens by themselves.
Though, I do have to quickly say ... in the course, if you like, of doing some good I have made some enemies. But that's another thing separate to MSE. But I never realized until too late that was happening.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return.
