Aliasojo - you're £95 up even if its got to be spent on something, the tumbler and central locking were going to go anyway but you've got some money towards them.
Next month - no mortgage payments!!!!!!!!0 -
What a good idea! :j

Well i have just read this whole thread to see if anyone had mentioned a papier mache pig and typical its on this last page!!!! lol
I just spent the afternoon making "hermione" the pig. Im also going to make a cow, sheep, chicken and horse so i have one for 10p's ,20p's, 50p's and £1 and one for small change.
it cost me 50p for 25 baloons and 80p for a bag of flour. Got lots of old newspapers that people leave on the plane after flights so im sorted!!
Hermione is just outside drying and ill paint her tomorrow!! Ive had real fun doing it!!!
Ill see if i can take a piccy of her tomorrow!
Im sure my boyfs daughter will love to help me make the others when she comes on wednesday. He he he im all excited at filling them up!!!
If you want to know how I made her heres my instructions Blue Peter Style.........
You Will Need...
Flour
Water
Balloon
Newspaper/Toilet roll
Pop Bottle with cap big enough for coins to come out. (ive used a smoothie bottle)
Large Bottle top
Cardboard pieces in shape of ears and legs
1) Blow up balloon to piggybank size
2) Mix water and flour to make paste
3)Tear strips of paper and put all over balloon using paste to stick
4) Do plenty of layers
5)Cut out ears and legs and stick to balloon in right place, use rolled up newspaper to bulk out, cover with paper mache strips.
6)Cut top off pop bottle and stick to the bottom of pig using strips of sticky paper to hold down. Dont cover the lid or u wont get your money out!!!
7) stick pop lid on for nose and cover in sticky paper
8) Leave to dry
9) pop the balloon inside
10) if its not very strong add more sticky layers and leave to dry again
11) Cut out hole for money to go in
12)Cut hole underneath in bottle top to let money out when unscrewed
13)Paint Pig!!!
Hope you all have a happy pig!!!!
Im soooooooo excited to paint it!!
Boyf keeps laughing at me because it was such a childish thing to be doing all afternoon but i really enjoyed it!!!!!0 -
Think I'll have a go at the paper mache but I know I recently threw away a load of balloons
I came up with another idea to give my pets their own pocket money every week and that's their vet fund, so will make a cat money box :jOfficial DFW Nerd 071/£2 saver=£10
