  • I wanted to thank the OP as I've been using a pig too. It's on our kitchen side and we were amazed at how much we saved in doing so. I counted just under £50 in 1p, 2p and 5 p coins alone!

this is an excellent idea, now i am torn, do i start my own mortgage pig....or do i search the house and list of my piggies on ebay and get rich from you lot, lol.

i do have a festive snowman that demands £2.00 a week from me towards christmas, but i am thinking he could really do with a friend, i have seen a little piggy somewhere, they would make a lovely couple, and 1 bottle of wine less per week, could mean an extra £156 to £208 every year off my mortgage

you have really started a national trend with this one
Thanks to all who post comps :T

No its not me I haven't banked mine yet but I also got 3 today  so maybe the royal mint have been reading this thread and made some more .

The piggypoint piggybanks ( say that after a few drinks) you have 325piggypoints for a pig but you should have that much within the first few days, if you have a look at the freebies board there is a pigsback points for free clicks thread which will give you loads of info to make the most piggy points possible.

Hope that helps, and thanks for letting me recommend you.

You have to be a member of pigsback for so many days before you can claim, im not sure if it is 14 days, or 28 days - but once they have passed you can order as often as you need to.

Just checked - you can order once you have been a member for 10 days!!

thanks Batgirl and Catowen I need all the help I can get ,have also joined the live on 4k for a year thread [is that right]or should it be board,i,m new to computing had honestly never touched a keyboard till a few months ago and OH is no good wont come near it.Can't get over how helpfull and friendly everyone is takes me ages with one finger to type;anyway...all the money I save from the 4k challenge will go to my mortgage fund,we have an interest only mortgage, its for 47k as we had to re-mortgage when we got this bungalow, it was over 25yrs ,that was 4yrs ago ,so in 21yrs if we dont start paying more we will have to find 47thousand or re-mortgage again I worked out it will take me 10yrs to clear the lot [we live on a very limited income]but thanks to you all;we have made a start, its like having an extended family.THanks everyone for including me in your little "club":D

  • I've just found this website today and have to say I think this is an amazing idea, the whole site is but this bit especially.

There is quite a collection of assorted money boxes in our house as DS likes to visit the local (ish) 'paint a pot' studio for birthdays etc :D

Now, do I really need to pay someone else to clean my house?? And do I need that magazine subscription? Off to figure out how much i actually fritter away on unneccesaries (Is that a word), I'm scared _pale_

I'm supposed to be on a food diet too so anytime temptation strikes I'll put the chocolate / sweet money in the elephant too.

Thanks for listening to my rambling
