Yeah come on over Kezza I start the thread each month and I am not a DFW I am a MFW but I find that there are no better MSErs than on the DFW people. When I was in debt ( and I think this is why its such a good board) I was soo flaming desperate to get out of debt I did everthing, but because my mortgage is such a long haul and doesn't seem as pressing my motivation really slipped so I went back to the DFW board and its fab. Have a look.

Ps Thanks Move To Portugal for posting the link, we have 101 members this month now but still plenty of room for more :rotfl:

Thanks Batgirl and Move to Portugal. I won't join the challenge yet because my finances are in a bit of a transitional state at the moment especially since I may save the money in one hand, but spend more than I save over the month anyway.

I have just struck a deal to make about £130 after tax next month whereby I have agree to go back to part time teaching on a Saturday for 3 weeks only. I did used to do this for the last 6 years but gave it up due to business commitments and the fact that I never had anytime out and it was making me ill, but the person who was meant to take over from me in September 07 never did. I resigned and worked up till July, but with no tutor to run the courses that I had developed and built up, they have a backlog of students so I am going to clear the backlog and earn some extra money in the process.

3 weeks will be enough for me though. I have got used to having my Saturday mornings back again after 6 years of working them but its nice to feel wanted.

    Hiya Batgirl,:D
The challenge is going well.I have sold some bits in my ebay shop but not added it up yet(under £50).I also have bids on some stuff ending today and tomorrow which come to £250 ish so far:j .Its a great way of keeping yourself motivated.£10 a day sounds achievable but if I were to tell myself I had to make £70 extra this week it would somehow sound like a hard task:rolleyes: .I will get my signature updated in a few days.
I need to make £10 a day to compensate for my overspending again this month on the grocery challenge:o

Havn't decided on a name yet but thinking of something quite fancy and long to compensate for his cheap looks, what about Augustus Skinticus IIV(Is that how you write 'the third' in roman numerals?)

  • What a fantastic idea - I am going to go and find all our 'icky jars' (loose change!!) around the house, pool them and find myself a pig (or maybe a giant hen !!):T to use from now on.
