Have just checked - in last 6 months I've paid in £5 twice, plus £5.36. Helps that it's internet based, but I would happily pay into bank if necessary!!!

Welcome arlybarly :T :T . You need to find your own pig......... that's part of the fun!!!!!! But cheapo Home Bargains type shops are usually good for big, gaudy ones :D . Of course, if you want to do it in money saving style (every penny saved is 1.3p interest or whatever!!!!) then sign up to www.pigsback.co.uk and sign up - do all your click throughs and sign up for newsletters and you'll have a piggy before you know it!

Getting the pig is easy...... it's [STRIKE]naming[/STRIKE] filling it that's hard!!!!

    Good luck!!!

I got my mortgage statement for 2006 today. I have two accounts only one of which I currently make overpayments on. The one I don't make overpayments on was about half a page long. The one i do make overpayments on was over 2 pages long:rotfl: and as well as my regular overpayments which tend to be in blocks of £100 there were loads of small ones where I have just transferred over 'spare' money that I had saved from something.

Nationwide must think I am mad:rotfl:

OK, monthly update...... overpaid a total of £658.46, beating my target of £599.99!!!!! So, now need 'only' £594.68 a month till the end of year, then am 50/50 with OH & we can really start to blitz it!!!!

    Off to update signature :D

Yes, that's right folks no over payment this month :( I am so annoyed as I had really hoped to get some regular 12 month over payments done this year. All because my dryer packed up and we've bought a new one :( I know it's not a "necessary" item and I could live without it, I have done for years before so the choice is mine, but every weekend I have 4 loads of washing to wash, dry and iron ready for monday morning and it's so handy and quick to put them in the dryer :D

Sorry for the moan it just seems that no matter what I plan things go wrong and I know it's only one month but it's frustrating :( On the plus side it was on special from tesco's and we got extra points for it soooo I suppose it's ok I will just have to make more of an effort on the piggy front and raid DH's jeans more often :rotfl:

  • Hiya :hello:

Sorry to jump in but I was wondering...how big is the pigsback pig? I really really want one (or two or three) so when they're back in stock I'll be getting one but dont want it to be very small or very big, IYSWIM?

    Thanks!

It 'talks to you' and adds up how much you have put in, encourages you etc...and you can set a 'target' amount to save.

I have called him Bob - for 3 reasons:

    1. Bob - after my grandfather who would have been the grandfather of money saving (and hoarding!)
    2. Bob as in 'a few bob in your pocket'
    3. Bob as in the not the 9 O'clock news's Car advert.....'built in Britain....by Roberts'....still makes me laugh (along with Clive the Gorilla.....'Wild! I was absolutely lived!):rotfl:
I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

Bekki, I don't have a pigsback pig myself, but I have heard other people say they are quite small. If you ask in the pigsback forum, I'm sure someone who has one can give you dimensions.
