Krystaltips - can he take 4 days holiday for the week of the bank holiday and then start paternity leave the next week??
He wouldn't need to if he can just start the paternity from the Tuesday then it would run 2 weeks from then on... Who knows... I might still be pregnant on the bank holiday Monday... Sincerely hope not though!

Krystaltips - we're facing a goofy situation with DH's work too. He put in for holiday the week of 16 Aug, I'm due 5 Aug. He has spoken to them and they seem amenable to him juggling holiday time around with paternity leave so that he can have 2 wks of paternity and one wk of holiday without a hassle. But of course the timing all depends on when baby arrives. It's a bit up in the air.

Then get the bigger size. There is nothing worse than something really tight over bigger boobs, if you don't want to accentuate them. You'll be feeling self-conscious about it all day. Much better if it drapes softly over them. The fit round the tummy and hips will probably be fine, as their clothes are all supposed to be designed to be worn from very early pregnancy to well after the birth, so if you have any bump at all, you'll be taking up some of the slack there might otherwise be.

It's not like you are wearing a pair of jeans which would fall down if too big in the waist after all!

Thanks Nicki - my bump is visible IYKWIM. First event will be at 23 weeks, second and third 26 weeks and 4th 30 weeks.

My Wallis dress is a 10 and fits well so I guess I will go for that size - I normally avoid buying clothes online especially expensive ones like this cos I can't try them on without paying out for delivery and then sending it back etc!

All the jeans I've bought are an 8 but feel a bit big so I never know with sizes and things!

Right, I'll order the 10 and see how i get on.

Hi everyone. Reading the comments about bank hols has got me thinking. Is that correct about us being able to tag the bank hols that are during our materity leave onto the end of our maternity leave? Or does it depend on the company you work for?

Yes u can tag them on. You accrue them whilst you are on mat leave - so I will be off over 7 bank holidays (hopefully!) so I will tag them on so I finish Mat leave and then take 7 days accrued bank holidays after this.

    Does that make sense?!!!!

Thanks Glamazon, yes that makes sense :) Thats great news, so as I am hoping to have 52 weeks off, I count until the first day back and then add on however many bank hols I have missed, say 8 (Xmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Good Fri and Easter Mon, 2 x May, 1 x Aug) - is that right? So I can have another 8 days off.
