sugar - oops! err if its still sucking stuff up then just empty it and deny all knowledge if OH asks if you've seen some screws :D

Elle - I'm assuming nipple confusion or just personal not liking a dummy is the reason they asked.
I think BFing will likely be a struggle when he gets to it anyway so if it were me I'd just focus on what is best for him right now TBH and if that means he has a dummy then give him one - I think he's earned it :D

elle, have you registered Rhys' birth to get his birth certificate, that is the 1st thing that you need to do before you can even think about doing anything else as you need the birth certificate

Thank you, you three! :) Knew I'd get a quick answer.. My connection is too slow to have the page refreshing all the time to be clicking Thanks buttons but I will do it sometime, I promise! :)

MM, we registered him when he was two days old. Born on Sunday and the Registrar comes to the hospital on Tuesdays so we did it at first opportunity. We needed his birth certificate to be able to get his official name put on everything. He has OH's surname now as planned, but had to be known as my surname until I was discharged (to do with Health and Safety for matching us up as mother and baby) - once I was discharged, they changed his name on the big whiteboard at the nurses station and changed all the labels on everything for us :D

elle, there should be someone in the hospital that helps fill out claim forms for all sorts of benefits, so I would assume they would do child benefit and tax credits. I think it has to be personal choice if you want to claim now or to wait and see how things go. I would probably wait another few weeks and then think about it :)

Been for my scan this morning and it was good to see that there was definitely something in there :D:D

She said everything looks just as it should on a dating scan and measured at 12+2 so my EDD is 12th December  Bit too close to Christmas for my liking :D

Got my Bounty pack with vouchers for free Huggies nappies, Asda mum to be pack and other stuff. I confimed i'd be having the downs blood test so that's booked in for 2nd July, 20 week scan 27th July and GTT test on 24th Aug. :T Next scan doesn't sound too far away since it's already June!

Got a scan picture, although i was supposed to pay £2 for it and we hadn't took any money so she said just pay next time. I first asked if it could be put to the side til we bring money but she said it'd end up getting lost. I'll try and scan it later if my Epson wants to play ball.
