Finally had my booking in appt today :T We reckon i'm 12+6 and my midwife is really lovely, she gave me the healthy start form and the pregnancy book and loads of leaflets, explained all about the downs testing etc - did everyone here have those bloods done? Anyone had to follow those up with amnio?
On a Sunday? Wow. Think my midwife would collapse in shock if I suggested anything like that!
Had my quadruple blood test taken a week ago, I'm waiting for the results. But we've already decided not to follow up with an amnio, even in the results are bad - we just want to know the statistics. She said as my BMI is 31 (we think - i've avoided weighing for ages) i'll need to have a glucose test at about 24 weeks - has anyone else here needed that? She said i'll have to fast from 9pm til about 11am
.
Not personally, I just scraped in with a BMI of 30
