Searching- i keep finding i get headaches, but a bag of ready salted crisps and a lot of water tends to send it packing. But I find I get dehydrated if I dont keep my salt levels up, no matter how much I drink.
Hope everyone is well today!:D

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on here much lately and have no hope of catching up with what's been going on so I hope everyone is well.
I'm mega uncomfortable now. Can't get any decent sleep and my ribs are under constant attack.
In work today but absolutely nothing to do so looking on the net for nighties for the hospital bag. What has everyone else got planned nightie wise. I was thinking of a nightshirt type thing with buttons but long enough to cover my dignity.

Hi Jvic
I've not even thought about my hospital bag yet - only 21+5 so think that one can wait a few weeks!!
How many weeks ru? I'm guessing around 32 from your EDD but am crap at maths!
I'm surprised at how uncomfortable I am atm - am struggling to get comfy in bed and my clothes just don't want to sit under or right over my bump! Very annoying!
Oh and my La Senza maternity knickers are OK, they are like little shorts but I do find they like to find their way up my !!!!! crack!!
I am trying so hard to make sure my posts have the correct spelling and grammer now :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I'm 34+2 now. Really stuggling. The next 6 weeks can't go quick enough.
I'm still wearing the thongs I've always worn. I just put them under my bump now instead. Solves the problem of them going up my bum anyway as that's where they're meant to be. I've never really got on with shorts. My bum has always been on the bigger side so they've always ridden up where they shouldn't.
I can't believe how uncomfortable sleeping is. I never thought pregnancy would be a breeze but I still didn't think it would be so hard. I don't think anyone can understand until they go though it. I won't be going through this again anytime soon I can assure you all.

I have a bean filled tube style pillow (the type you would use for your neck) which I tuck under bump so I can move about and then a normal pillow for between my legs if my hips are painful.
When do you plan to finish work?
My other low cut knickers kept rolling down all the time and then giving me marks where they were digging in!
My bio oil never arrived yesterday - it better come tomorrow!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I think I definately need to look at the pillow situation in bed. I've been putting one under my bump and the duvet between my legs but I don't stay comfortable for long. By the time the morning comes round both my hips are in agony.
I'm hopefully gonna stay in work until I drop pretty much. I want as much time after the birth with baby as possible. What about you? I wish I could finish work now but can't really afford the maternity pay for long after it drops (the pay, not the baby:rotfl:).
I've been using bio oil and palmers cream. I moisterise twice a day and so far no stretch marks at all. I know there's no proof they work but I'm not giving them any excuses. If they do appear at least i've done all I can.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -

I have said this all along but my work is getting pretty stressful (I'm a manager) and am being asked to do senior management work and stuff that's not in my job description but that someone needs to do!
It's going to depend on how much annual leave I have left after my hols in June and whether I go to my sisters wedding in July (its in Spain).
Earliest will be 36 weeks.
I am hoping to have enough money saved to have ................
6 weeks at 90% of wages (hopefully end of Sept and Oct)
and then about 7 months at SMP (£120 per week) topped up with my savings and OH's leftovers each month.
Will mean returning to work in June - but will then have 7 accured bank holidays to take as well.
Well, see how I feel nearer the time I think!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I'm hoping to be off until at least after Xmas. I didn't realise bank holidays are accrued whilst on maternity leave? That gives me a bit more to take then. At the moment I've got 16 days left to take around maternity and before the end of March 2010 plus any bank holidays. So thats not too bad. And that's after the week I've got off next week and a couple of days the following week. I just wish I could leave now though. Just want to veg all day, so tired.
I think we'll all just have to play it by ear, there's no way of knowing how we'll be feeling closer to the due date. It's not healthy to be getting stressed out and tired.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
