Thanks for the Mat clothes advice. Will definitely invest in a bump band, but might see if I can pick up a few bargain anyway. I've got a couple of H&M bits already and find them quite a good fit, but will definitely bear sizing in mind. Quite fancy some Next stuff so might see how there sizes come out.

Feeling all lovely and clean now after a nice shower and then getting dressed. Amazing how much better that can make you feel. I have almost mustered the energy to go out!

I'm a "normal" size at H&M normally - it's just the maternity stuff that seems to be oddly sized to me... If you have a Next outlet shop nearby they often have maternity stuff too so worth a gander :) I've got a few pieces from there recently :)

I found a lot of the Next stuff to be quite big - I normally wear a 6 or an 8 in Next tops and a 10 in the trousers, but the 10 maternity pants are still falling off me and I'm 29 weeks gone and having people ask if I'm smuggling an extra baby! The 8 tops are a bit big across the chest as well, but struggling to contain the Bellyfrog.

I'm actually wearing a nonmaternity top from Gap at the moment. It was a Large and I'd normally need an XS, but it fits really well - and it's cotton, not Lycra, so completely inexplicable.

I agree that Next maternity trousers are quite big. I am 22 weeks, and the size 14s are still falling down all the time! I was worried that they might not be big enough when buying them. I also bought a couple of pairs of jeans from Next Outlet which were £10 each. Again, I need to wear a belt with them!

On the subject of maternity clothes, I recently bought 2 cardigans and they are a nightmare - casting hair/fluff everywhere!! One is this one, and the other was a coral coloured one from H&M. They have both been through the wash a couple of times now, but still just as bad, and I am finding it difficult to wear them as when I get into someone's car, I leave loads of fluff attached. I have black tops that you can hardly tell were black due to the amount of coral fluff attached. My chair at work is covered! So don't buy and wear these if you are going to someone else's house!

    Rant over....!!

    Hello all!

Hope everyone is ok, and labour vibes to everyone who wants/needs them!

Just wondering why I am no longer the EDD list?!

Just to let you all know I got a package this morning from Emma Jane Maternity with some stuff to try and report on... All I got was 6 pairs of maternity tights! I know they are free but is it not a bit warm to be having to wear maternity tights now?! I realy wanted a bra to try out! What do you guys reckon?!

Anyway, I've got my 20 week scan on Friday and I am not going to find out the sex although I have convinced myself it is a girl... Keep dreaming it is a girl and I reckon that is a sign!!! Hmmm...

Anyway must go and make lunch, I am famished!!!

    Mad
    xxx

    :hello:

Madwoman - I think Sami was trying to tidy up the list as it was getting out of control and she felt that there were probably people who weren't around anymore. Please add yourself again! You were probably removed accidentally. Good luck with your scan on Friday!! x

searching - if Roo gets too quiet I find a can of full fat ice cold coke usually works ;)

I had a DIET coke last night and that sent bean off - the Haribos probably made it up to a full fat coke though ;)

GISI - I bought all my mat clothes on ebay except for 1 pair of smart trousers which I got in the M&P sale. I've got MODA jeans, Next Jeans, DP smart trousers all in a szie 8 - they are a bit big to be honest!

The one day I actually had a good nights sleep (only one pee break) - OH got me up at 7am to go car booting! Got another load of clothes for 20p an item.

I need to sort out how much I have though as I think I might be going overboard because stuff is soooooooooooooooooooo cheap.

GISI - I 2nd that next mat stuff is big, I've been wearing sz12 next jeans for the last 2yrs but my next maternity jeans are sz10 and with 18days () to go they still fall down all the time!
if u go for a skinny style tho get ur usual size as the sz12 skinny mat ones were tight on me - go figure!

sorry no real time to post after catching up (MM & SM ur dirty ladies :rotfl:) I had a bad night - woke up twice feeling very hot, sweaty, panicky and incredibly sick!! fingers crossed it was either the spicy food I've had (not good tum this morn :() or that Chris was at MILs and I always worry about him there coz MIL is not at all similar to me in parenting style :undecided
Got to get dressed, collect Chris and visit his Gt Granddad G.
See u later - hopefully not u Tine n Krystal (in th nicest way possible :D)

ooh how random Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall is opening the new allotments nr my Mum's today - I'm gutted I can't go n meet him!!!
Even more random the QUEEN is coming to same scummy chav town next week to officially open the new 'sports village'
all pretty swish for a scummy old mining town that was until recently only known for the murder of a 7yo girl! :(
