Nah it would be a separate person from ur GP, MWs usually wear a uniform so u can always spot 'em :p

mm, thats what i thought aswell.....i have no idea then.
can you tell i am a bit laidback about stuff like that.....i jus kina take it for granted, someone tells me to go there and see x, y or z and i do, no questions asked! im gonna have to find out more now!

the problem with me though, is, i live like 0.1km out of the catchment area for my doctors, so even though i am still registered there, when i need a home visit for after baby and stuff, the community MW and HV come from my local town GP surgery...if u follow!??

I wouldn't worry about it but do ask about it just so u can tell us ;)
Some GPs like to see preg ladies every so often but most are too busy and happy to leave it to the MWs

The MWs & HVs could be the same ones as they usually cover a few surgeries
I changed GPs just after having Chris coz I'd moved in with OH just before the birth - best thing I ever did my old GP was such a crap old surgery with only 2.5 GPs but my new practice is all shiny and new with 12GPs, a bunch of MWs, HVs and a nurse!
