Sky+ box

Can anyone give me a bit of an idea about what they said when they phoned up? I'm going to be calling tonight to get broadband, sky talk and line rental and I want to get some kind of deal on a Sky + box. I always feel like I'm getting on okay with these people, nice bit of polite chit chat and then get precisely nothing. Any tips gratefully received (I'm not expecting to get everything free but want some kind of discount!!)
Thanks all. - Just because I love this emoticon!0 -

I don't know how you lot all managed to get such a good deal on the Sky + boxes! I got told that I could have it for £49 plus £60 installation without multiroom (I live on my own so I don't need multiroom!) but as I've had to pre-register I'm sceptical that this will still be the case once the box is available. We will wait and see.... - Just because I love this emoticon!0

Hi Ellie,
It seems the most tried and tested method is to threaten to cancel or actually say "I want to cancel". This usually opens up a new line of negotiation from Sky (but not always) with them throwing different kinds of offers your way.
It also depends on the person at the other end of the phone. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Trouble is I was getting broadband and phone so couldn't threaten to leave!! Was hoping the sky + box might be a 'reward' for upgrading but obviously not! - Just because I love this emoticon!0
