You know what? I've decided to go for the 6 months car tax and pay an extra £70 to my Egg card.
Also next pay packet will include an extremely rare bit of overtime which will be more than what my remaining balance will be, so that means my Egg card will be cleared! :j :j :j0 -
Great to see you've started a diary type thread ss, I will certainly be checking on it regularly to keep up to date with your progress!!
And, who knows, there might even be a bit of silliness and thread hijacking along the way, care to join me moozie? :rotfl:
I would have dropped in earlier but have had a blitz on my dissertation and its almost done  :j , hence this silly time of the night (morning) to be getting my MSE fix!!
Seriously though, the more stories the better (although yours is considerably shorter than mine, he he!). Its great to follow someone's journey and keep it all in one place for posterity.
Best of luck, bet you're looking forward to clearing that card! :jDon't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Hey SS,
You are doing really well - I am going to buy 12 months car tax in August - I am currently saving up £5 p/o stamps (buy one or two every couple of weeks) to help me pay for it - it just means I can forget about it for a whole year! But make sure you do whatever works for you.
Thanks for starting this thread - they'll be lots more debt diaries soon - me thinks!

Well went into HSBC to get the credit limit sorted out but the wait was stupid so I might ring them again and see if I can fax the letter over. Failing that will have to go in again next week!n
Had a pile of "financial" letters through this morning so was hopeful the BA Amex application letter would be in there! It wasn't! :rotfl:
Money wise I spent;
£4.49 on choccies for mothers day
£1.25 on a birthday card
£5.97 on toiletries
Oh yeah! And £82.50 on car tax!
Also risked not paying the parking as it's a rip-off so got away with £2! :j0 -
Good news and bad news today!
Good new is that the £2,250 from my Amazon card is now on the 0% HSBC card! :j
Bad new is that the remaining £2,151.13 is now costing me interest at 12.9%! :wall:
Still haven't heard about the BA American Express card!
Also still waiting for the £70 to clear off my Egg card which will bring that to below £100!

SS did you say you had a virgin card?? (As in the branson fellow  )
Have applied for one tonight online wondered if they are a good bet or not..are they fussy??0 -
D&DD, the Virgin card is administered by the dreaded MBNA. They're ok as long as you don't try to contact them or ask anything of them!0
