I've basically decided to copy Jamesy's idea but don't tell him! :shhh:
I will try and keep it as up to date as possible, providing I remember and it's not too depressing! :rotfl:
To start with I will post my debts in all their glory!
As of today the are;
Egg (Limit - £500) = £169.60
Capital One (Limit - £8,000) = £6,948.12
Morgan Stanley (Limit - £2,700) 5.9% for life = £2,263.52
Tesco (Limit - £600) 7.9% for life = £512.79
Amazon (Limit £5,300) 0% - 21st March ‘06 - 12.9% = £4,401.13
HSBC (Limit £2250) 0% - 14th December ‘06 – 14.9% = £0
Tesco Loan 6.7% = £16,071.48
Total: = £30,366.64
I'm currently waiting for £2,250 to be transferred to the HSBC card from the Amazon card!
Have also applied for the BA American Express card that is 4.9% for the life of balance. Will hopefully know the outcome in the next couple of days!

I think James' idea is great as it'll be a good thing to look back on at the end of your journeys if I did one it'd probably crash the site :rotfl: my story is verrrrry long...0 -

Thanks everyone!
OK, a quick question!
Need to renew my car tax which is £82.50 for 6 months or £150 for 12 months! So, do I buy a 6 month one and pay off £70 off my Egg card OR buy the 12 month one?
I'm currently being charged about £2.50 a month in interest from Egg so 6 months worth is roughly £15 and the car tax will cost me £7.50 more buying 6 months than 12! Is it really worth doing for £7.50? :rotfl:
Just want to clear my Egg card as soon as possible. More for a psychological boost than anything!0 -
I always go for the 12 months car tax as you save quite a fair chunk rather than just buying 6 months.
Well done Hun...your doing a grand job!!

My rough workings suggest that the 12 month tax is the cheaper option, but not by huge amounts +/-£10, however I would personally value the psychological boost.
Good luck, I guess the problem is, every little, really does count0 -
Hey there southernscouser
Really pleased to see you have posted your storyMy curiosity has been satisfied in one!
Well done on making great progress already and hope the car mats are kept nice and shiny
I don't know much (as you know!) but I'd go for the psychological boost as there doesn't seem to be many £££ in it.
Best of luck and look forward to more updates :TLeason learnt :beer:0
