So why not send them a message and ask if and when you would get a 0% transfer deal.0 -

Balance transfer to the card - ONLY when it has no debt on it. So if it has debt on it move the money to another card, so its empty then move the money back and you get it at zero %
Did you find the article confusing. Do you think it is worth me adding this "nutshell summary" to the main article?
feedback welcome

Hi Martin,
thanx for the fantastic tips and i only wish i had found this site earlier! lol.
My newbie question is... can i transfer my overdraft balance from my current account to egg card account? would this work?
thanks in advance.0 -
I was offered the 2.9% transfer deal in an e mail advert. The offer said that the 2.9% would be valid until November 2009 but when I visited the site, both the offer details and the terms and conditions said that it would be valid until November 2010. I made a transfer (after printing off the offer and terms). Today I received an e mail from them confirming that the transfer had been made, but including the line "until 6 November 2009".
I have sent a query e mail but am expecting a problem. Any advice appreciated0 -
So long as you have a copy of the offer you responded to, you've got a decent case to argue. Stick to your guns and be prepared to put it in writing if the secure message comes back with standard blurb.
I've had very mixed experience of Egg's customer service recently. Some abysmal, some very prompt. Hopefully you'll get them on a good day."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
They have now requested copies of my printout. Don't they know what was on their website? If it was put up in error, someone had to see it and correct it. Am I the only person to transfer a balance based on this offer? I doubt it. Where do I stand legally?0

Waited nearly a month and contacted EGG, they said that their postal system was slow "because everything is scanned". I offerred to send another copy of the printout by recorded delivery and, lo and behold, they replied that they had already accepted that they had made the offer and that my account had been changed accordingly. I have now printed that out too!!:rotfl:

Hi,
I've had an egg card since forever (199X) , is the anniversary offer limited to the 1st and second anniversaries or is it an annual thing or did it change at some point - I can't see any anniversary reminders from them over the last years.........
Thanks0 -
Doh,
Should have searched a bit more carefully, searching on anniversary rather than birthday reveals that I have received the offer in email form in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
Suspect I've cleared out the missing entries, but looks like it is an annual thing....if you have an old card :j0 -
Since no new 'Egg Money' cards are being issued to new applicants because that section of the Egg business appears to have been bought by another bank, Is there a good alternative card that one can use as what you refer to as a 'mule' for transfering funds into one's acct as a loan?0

I don't believe so, Gbola.0
