Car boot sales in Edinburgh?

Anyone tried selling the TY beanies recently at a car boot? They don't appear very popular on Ebay!

Is the one at the corn exchange still going / As im thinking of going to edinburgh next Sunday and visiting some car boots sales. Any recommendations would be grateful ,thanks

Yes the one at the corn exchange is still on but the best one is the greenside car park as its indoors so there are thousands of people there. I did one on sunday and it was soooo busy. Got some great bargains too. (Although I was there trying to make money, i ended up spending some).

Yes I have that problem too,trying to get rid of my things and make money and I end up buying loads more from other sellers !
That and buying loads of food to eat, as having a boot sale makes me really hungry !

There is a car boot sale tomorrow at South Morningside Primary School on Comiston Road.

10.30-12.30pm

£15 a car, the spaces have to be booked in in advance so you'ld have to give the school a call to see if there are any free. 0131 447 5446

Does anyone know how much the greenside car boot costs per car and what time do you need to be there?

Have never done a car boot before or been to one come to think of it. Do you just get room to set up one pasting table?

If you are selling at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange Chesser car boot sale, beware of two stout Scottish men who will approach you before you set up. They may direct you to your space or help you with your table and give the appearance of working there.The bald one will ask you for jewellery, ornaments, train sets, figurines, china, etc. The bespectacled one will ask you whether you have mobile phones, dvds, laptops, etc.
You will get better prices if you do not sell to them.

Just wanted to warn people, the Omni side car boot sale (well Flea Market as they have now changed it :rolleyes:) has went dramatically down hill.
They are becoming greedy and want everything for nothing. They offer £1 and 50p for most stuff.
After the effort of packing everything, being there very early (some are there from 12.30pm on the saterday night queuing to get in) it really doesnt seem worth it.

It is definately getting busier with loads of people selling.
