Ahhh! I see!
What a judgemental and silly thing for PBS to say!0 -
https://www.tripadvisor.com is your friend - book yourself in to the no 1 or 2 hotel for your destination and you won't go far wrong.
BA, Continental,AA, KLM etc are generally on time, the ones that have faster turnarounds to save money can end up behind if something goes wrong, there's less of a time buffer to cover it up and catch up
We love our 'foreign' holidays, never had much of a problem anywhere we went, remember many of the places you might want to go for a taster holiday are part of the EU and hygeine rules, health and safety does tend to stretch out across Europe ore than ever before, but even so a bit of common sense goes a long way.
We've had some great cheaper deals/flights with flyglobespan, basic planes etc, pay for your food on board, but they've never let us down yet, flying from Scotland is a real bonus for us too.:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Don't you agree?0 -
I guess I've been lucky, my worst every delay was at Dublin airport on a UK bound flight, I've never had a real delay on a holiday abroad.
I use the net to research accomodation now, but touch wood was always lucky before.
Had the squirts, once in Egypt & once in Cyprus, but not so serious as to need a doctor.0 -

I'm not a massive fan of Spain or her islands, but I beg to differ about the Greek islands. There are some beautiful places to go in Greece. Never been to Maderia, but its anything but chavvy:rolleyes:
I love the eastern med places, but to be honest I steer clear of the eastern Europe destinations, now some of them are very "cheap'n'dreadful":D0 -

Sorry -- Not sure if you are joking but there were serious medical restrictions, within my family, on the length of flight that could be tolerated.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build.
