skintas i think 99p store and poundland are the same as they sell the same items.
Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)
  • the 99p and pound shops are actually owned by different companies .

They must buy some items from the same source.

a lot of the pound shop stuff seems to be packaged with the pound shop name and logo.

In Reading we have both shops so we have a good selection .

  • In the moneysaver in swinton, (its more or less the same thing as poundland etc.) i got fairy power spray for £1.10, usually about £2.50 and a very good product, also got an airwick airfreshener battery powered thingy for £1, usually quite expensive - they do much more but I was determined to not have a basketfull

    "Avoid:
Flash wall eraser (says safe to use on painted surfaces on the packaging and took off half the paint on my bedroom wall! Not Poundland's fault but not exactly a bargain if you have to lay out for paint!)
Also I find the hair bobbles there snap, so I get mine from Primark - £1 for 30 and excellent quality!".................

sorri to hear that the magic eraser didn't work out on your wall...i suppose you have one more eraser left? (as they come in a pack of two) and a white bath? the magic eraser will lift off any stains without the need for any other domestic household detergent or cleaner, just dampen with cold water and rub over the surface in small circular motions...requires a bit of elbow grease but the results are well worth it!!
hope that helps make up for the damage to the wall
Everything in life is a paradox. The more you want approval, the more you become a person that other people don't want to approve of, the less you care about whether you get approval, the more you get.:A
  • veet mens hair waxing strips very theraputic for me ripping the hair off his back.......ah well worth a pound:D seriously quite good though for small areas, come with after treatment conditioning wipes too
  • well around here we have a £1 shop, run buy local people but they have some fab stuff... in ours i have found...

    good stuff
    * money tins - (the ones you can only open with a tin opener) bigger than the usuall ones with better designs (some times they are on bogof too ;))
    * tea towels - (5/6 depends what they have in)
    * money boxes - loads of different styles/designs (most can be seen on ebay...)
    * play dough - four pots and lasts just as long as the original stuff but not cheap if you an make your own

    not so good
    * jotters/reporters note pads - 5 i think but the paper is so thin and asda do these for 19p each :D and the paper is of better quality
    * food bags *100 - not the ones with the zip/pop tops but just the open ones (very thin again) i need at least two per sandwich and then you can only fit half a sandwich in one
    * cistern blocks (blue) - these are in foreign packaging and i think you get 3/4 in a pack but they last about a day, i buy the morrisons ones now 2 for 49p and they last just under a week
