Can anyone suggest something for sore red, puffy eyes please? Have been crying a lot as had to have our elderly dog put down last night :'(

Have to be at work this pm and don't want to upset the children!!

  • Add ground almonds or ground rice to your cleanser/soap when doing your cleansing routine and it will provide you with a cheap but good exfolator for the face, which rids the skin of dead skin cells that will block the pores and create spots.

I am really sorry To hear about your dog.

For your eyes, smother your face in moisturiser, which has been in the fridge for a few minutes and try some slices of cucumber on your eyes for 10 -15 mins.

Or try peppermint or camomile tea bags infused in water, and cooled in the fridge. Again use on your eyes for 10-15 minutes.

    Keep smiling :P

Thank you so much! I am off to load up the fridge!!
Don't have any cucumber but have just remembered I have one of those avery gel filled eye masks from the freebie board! :)

Also have some peppermint teabags that I hadn't worked up courage to drink so will try those out as well

Have just made myself cry some more by writing out a poem for her but guess it is best to get it out of your system, she had a good, long and happy life so yes I will be smiling too :)

Thank you again for your kindness

thats so so sad. a big hug to you, and my thoughts are with you.

try teaspoons in the fridge, is what i do, then lay with them on your eyes for 10 mins, works wonders and is reuable as many times as you need. :-*

Thanks everyone, you are such lovely people!

It has already brought a smile to my face thinking of what my husband would say if he opened to fridge now to find 2 used peppermint teabags, 2 teaspoons, a pot of nivea and what looks like an eye mask for zorro!! lol

I will try all these wonderful ideas though before I head off to work.

I am also being brave and drinking the peppermint tea! It is actually not too bad and is settling my queasy tum as well!
